There are several personifications for OS X, both male and female. The Mac OS X girls are often portrayed as cat-eared, following with the Apple wild cat naming tradition. (Every Mac OS X release has a codename like Jaguar, Panther, Tiger and so on.) Otherwise, she is shown as an older variation of the Mac OS 9 girl, wearing a platinum white coat and a wireless AirPort device fashioned as a hat. She is occasionally shown holding a publication of some sort, as Macs are often used for desktop publishing. There are also male personifications for OS X, who are bipedal versions of their namesake animals.

Personification in the Mac manga

Altough she doesn't appear as often as OS9 does she is depicted as a appleless variation of the canon generic generic Mac-tan, she appears to be a very mature woman and is constantly annoyed by both Toshiaki and the OSX cats, who lust after her and often try to spy her when she showers.

She has no usual activity like Sonata, but she seems to enjoy drinking alcoholic beverages and inflicting revenge upon the OSX cats when they deserve it. She seems to be concerned of her appearance and becomes jealous when OS9 gets her sudden RAM boost at the point that she steals the RAM for herself.
