eComStation-tan is a rarely seen OS-tan, created by C-Chan in 2006. She personifies eComStation, a PC operating system based on OS/2, published by Serenity Systems International, USA.
eComStation is modernized version of IBM's OS/2, created due to IBM's discontinuing of its OS/2 product line. Serenity Systems and Stardock, as well as other developers of OS/2 software, were outraged by this decision. Instead of discontinuing the development of software for OS/2, they decided to create their own OS/2-derived operating system. With the help and consent of IBM, eComStation was released in 2000. Since then it has become the rightful heir to the OS/2 line of products and software.
eComStation-tan is a young woman in her 20's, with blue hair and a jumpsuit. Armed with little more than a pair of sneakers, she intends to uphold her older sister OS/2-tan's legacy. However, this is not warmly received by OS/2-tan, who still believes she can overthrow Microsoft herself.
