DOS-11-tan personifies DOS-11/BATCH-11, an early OS from Digital Equipment Corporation and appears as a short teenage girl with short grey hair, glasses, and a red + white school uniform. She carried a knife as her weapon and established the [[DEC Faction | DEC lineage]] tradition of using bladed weapons.

Being difficult to use, DOS-11-tan had a temperamental and psychotic attitude but still cared for her children though she didn't always show it. She was the caretaker and adoptive mother to RSTS/E-tan and RT-11-tan (since DOS-11 was used in the creation of both OSes) and claimed to be RSX-tan's mother too even though there's evidence that RSX-tan's heritage lies elsewhere. She clashed a lot with RT-11-tan and had a short life as DOS-11 was released for only four years with most of its users abandoning DOS-11 in 1973 with the advent of the user-friendlier RT-11.
