==Windows 10==
Windows 10 is the upcoming release of the Windows operating system, produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablets, and home theater PCs, as well as Mobile devices, such as ARM Tablets and Phones. Windows 10 marks a shift in Microsoft's strategy by allowing iOS, Android, and Win32 applications to be compiled as WinRT applications, and by changing the Windows distribution model to what has been dubbed as "Windows as a service", with free updates that bring new features and functionality, as opposed to previous operating systems that only received major features and functionality through either service packs or paid upgrades to a newer version. It also is the first Windows to be widely available for public testing early on in the development with the ability to give feedback, helping shape Windows to best suit it's customers' needs.

Windows 10 implements an adjustable "hybrid" menu system that combines the best of both the Start Menu and Start Screen, and uses "Continuum" to seamlessly select the best layout and method of interaction based on the device and it's current state (I.E laptop, tablet, 2-in-1 tablet-mode/pc-mode). It also introduces the successor to Internet Explorer, named "Microsoft Edge", which uses a new lightweight fork of the Trident rendering engine, dubbed EdgeHTML, that has been stripped of legacy components used for compatibility with outdated webpages built for older browsers.

Windows Azure is a Microsoft cloud computing platform used to build, deploy and manage applications and services through a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. Windows Azure allows for applications to be built using many different programming languages, tools or frameworks and makes it possible for developers to integrate their public cloud applications in their existing IT environment. Claudia Madobe is the official OS-tan for Windows Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing service and operating system. She currently is the mascot for Windows Azure in Japan.

The Windows Family dates back to 1980 as part of the [[Microsoft-IBM Family]] and branched off of it from the Microsoft-IBM Family's breakup in 1990.

During the 1980's with [[Windows 1.0 | Windows 1.0-tan]] and [[Windows 2.0 |Windows 2.0-tan]] as the only Windows OSes, the Windows-tans were rather obscure and low-key. The Windows-tans first achieved popularity with the advent of Windows 3.1-tan (then Windows 3.0-tan). Because of Windows 3.1-tan's success, the Microsoft-IBM Family broke up and the Windows Family started on its imperialist ambitions.

Windows NT-tan was created to conquer the server market and Windows 95-tan to conquer the consumer market. NT-tan and 95-tan were paired together to help each other fight and conquer. But also as part of the Windows Family's imperialist ambitions, Windows 1.0-tan and 2.0-tan were banished during the OS Wars because they knew of the early IBM-Microsoft Family which the Family's executives thought would be better off forgotten and not taught to the younger generations of Windows-tans though MS-DOS-tan was kept around because MS-DOS was still a major seller. They were also unwilling and unable to carry out the scorched-earth tactics that NT-tan and 95-tan could.

NT-tan established the Windows Family's foothold in the server market. While not as nearly as powerful as the Unix-tan forces that dominated the server market previously, she capitalized on clever marketing and the weaknesses of the Unix Family, war-torn by the Unix Wars.

95-tan took the consumer market by storm, with her forces pillaging and conquering any competing territory that crossed their path, with her main competitors being the [[House of Mac | Mac-tans]] who were unprepared for the new style of war that developed during the [[OS-tan Wars | OS Wars]] of the mid-1990's. 95-tan's forces conquered nearly all the Mac-tans' territory, including their capital city.

After the brutality of the OS Wars ended, NT-tan and 95-tan settled down and retired to a more peaceful and prosperous life with their younger relatives who enjoy the luxury of a largely sheltered life to this day.

Two separate personifications of Windows NT exist; the first is usually depicted as a lilac-haired girl or young woman with blue eyes and a plain pink dress. The other, depicting NT Workstation, Inu-T, has recently been more common than the original NT-tan, at least on the Futaba image boards. NT has the romaji representation of enu ti—this sounds a lot like inu ti, and inu is the Japanese word for dog. Inu-T has blue hair, dog ears, a dog's tail and a collar. She usually wears gloves and boots shaped like paws, and colored blue to match her ears and tail.

Most depictions of Inu-T show her as a young girl, with an endearing dog-like attitude, with carefree, sweet and spunky traits, even if she is a bit simple-minded. She is often shown as being daughterly and close with NT-tan.

Inori Aizawa is Microsoft Singapore's official mascot character for Internet Explorer. She has dark blonde hair, and fits into the magical girl archetype. Initially created by Collateral Damage Studios in response to -tan designs for Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, she was picked up by Microsoft, where, in partnership with Collateral Damage Studios and Nanyang Technological University’s CACANi Animation, they created a 2 minute anime short introducing Inori, which was shown at Anime Festival Asia 2013, as well as posted on YouTube at the same time. She is also the most recent fan made -tan to be picked up by Microsoft, with [[Nanami Madobe | Nanami]] being the last one before her.

The top starts blue at the bottom, having a gradient transition to white at the top. The tail of the her top, the belt buckle, and the right collar have the Microsoft logo (current 2013 version). The glove on her left arm is fingerless and covers most her arm, and is designed after modern IE's address bar. She has the Internet Explorer logo both on her hair clip and her belt, near the buckle. She also has what could be described as a neckerchief around the underneath side of the collar of her top. The frilled skirt she adorns is dual layered, with the bottom layer being white, and the top, visible layer being dark blue. Her boots are black, with the Trident logo on the bottom, representing her rendering engine of the same name, and have 2 blue ribbons around them.

Younger Inori (ala-IE6) is depicted as a sort-of nerdy schoolgirl, wearing white socks & sandals, a blue sweatshirt, and a headband. She is seen dropping some of the four colored squares that used to be included in the Windows Logo (such as on the [[2k-tan | Windows 2000]] boot screen) and the IE logo on the about IE dialog, as well as dropping info and error dialog icons.
