@Kiso: looks really good, but I still think she should have white hair. There are alredady 2 win-tans with blue hair, while there are no win-tans with white hair (except for 3.1sama, buit that's more like silver than white IMO). White would also go well with the whole 'transparency' thing.

Hmm... I never thought about it that way. I mean, I usually tie the colors schemes of the OS to the tans. Also, don't be fast in saying that 3.1-tan is the only one with white hair... cause I have seen several Vista designs that have used white for hair color, mainly Vistake, Visbou and that short-haired schoolgirl... but I don't have available image links to prove my statement.

Also... how does white go with transparency? No, really... I am curious to know why to make such suggestion.

I'd say 3.1's is more purpley-gray because, well, she's old.

I'm kind of considering chiVistan the 'official' design. I haven't really seen much Vistake or Visbou art lately. But maybe it's just me.

As for why white hair goes with transparency... white hair -is- transparent: you see it as white just because there's a whole bunch of it. It's the same for red eyes actually: the iris has no color and the red you can see is the blood flowing under it. And while it's true that 7's wallpaper is blue, the default window/taskbar color is actually transparent: it looks blue because you can see the desktop under it.

By those words... we could actually go optic camouflage on 7-tan and have her codenamed... Solid Snake. lol

But it's true what you say... white hair is merely a bunch of transparent hairs bouncing off the entire spectrum of light (what you forgot to mention). But then again, transparent sheet protectors turn gray when you stack them on a large pile. The true transparent color is black. It doesn't appear in the color spectrum not as visible light (white light). Space is transparent... and it only looks black because there is so much of it that light cannot illuminate it all.

In any case... I chose the color scheme for my concept based on VonDaab's bunny girl 7-tan and also from Chivistan. I can change it though for white... or transparent... or just every color known to humanity.

Hmm... every color possible... that would go right with Windows 7's ability to customize the UI's color schemes with much more ease. Still... might consider using white for the hair... and a light and transparent color for the coat and (probably just some parts of) her other clothing articles.

Yes and Glass turns green, Ice goes blue...
So considering the aero theme wich i think relates to glass, the hair could be green as well while reacting as a prism...

Let me explain... usually, pure crystals are supposedly to be completely transparent (like diamonds for example). However, saturation of other elements in the composition of the crystal contaminate them and turn them to other colors, while still being transparent (like the many diamond colors).

The glass effect in the Aero theme actually relates to the transparency and blur features, not so much with the color schemes that the windows have.

In any case... your idea of green hair throws me right back to one of my earlier design which actually resembled that 7-tan with the thong.

i meant that glass looks green if it's thick enough, and ice looks blue...

And yes i know that the aero theme has nothing to do with colours, but since aero -> glass -> green i thought that green is a logical pick for haircolour, and the prism effect would be a nice feature to play with colours... to denote the ease with wich one can change the colour scheme, aparently, i haven't tried it...

If you can write on paper with a pencil/pen/whatever... you're an artist already... as you are able to draw encoded symbols such as letters.

In any case... any input from anyone is accepted... it helps my understanding of people's way of thinking. Never would've I thought of associating green with glass... or blue with ice for that matter.

Anyways... let's not drive away from the topic too much with what I said.

I absolutely love the design posted by Nuker!

I snatched it from the post and it will now be my new Windows 7 background as soon as I finish installing! I expect to have Windows 7 up and running by Friday (3-6-09)! I can not wait to show all my friends the new 7!

Funny thing about IT is that new stuff has to age first...let eager beavers buy the stuff and get them to be frustrated and report all the bugs so that in a year or so, it will be usable for serious applications...
