@pentium: i'm afraid that if eat a banana, i'll get yelled at since they're my dads. i don't have any jelly babies, the only gas mask within 5 miles is mine (and russian), and BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL NYQUIL I HAVE THE POWER ALARM TURNED OFF!!!

Well, NyQuil works just as well

Welcome to the club; though my throat seems to be improving once again.... though I expect it to resurge for the third or fourth time.  The sleeping for +50% of the day may be helping.

*shrug*  I'm not there, so, you know, it doesn't really matter what I want now does it?

We're reading 'The Lorax' in class....... this is bloody fantastic.

Museum curation is a prestigious job!  Of course, you need to have at least a Masters in museum work or history or whatever subject the museum is focused on.  Usually.  They always need undergrads to do bitch work.

whenever my throat hurts i brush and gargle a lot D:

Good luck with that stewart D:
My my, aren't you lovely~

Gender studies will also enable you to win one internet, B. <3 Wish I had studied more of it, as I only took some basic courses during my third and fourth (or fourth and fifth, can't recall) years. The course selection for gender studies was quite limited however, and a lot of them were made only for majoring students, so I hadn't all the choice I'd have liked. ^^;

Yes it does matter. *____*

Ehhh... I've never seen a college with a museum curator's program....

But, yeah, last night I was checking out the course list for the university I've wanted to attend since I started high school and I discovered they have the equivalent of an Invent-Your-Own-Major Major (It has the much less fun-sounding name Interdisciplinary Studies). So students can pick from two or three areas of study to become INSANELY SPECIALIZED IN A SINGLE, MOST LIKELY USELESS, FIELD. Examples:

-One could study ancient Native American art (art history, archaeology, anthropology)
-One could train to teach mathematics to at-risk Spanish-speaking inner-city children (math education, social work [youth option], Spanish)
-Or become a climate model programmer (meteorology and computer science)

...and so on. Basically, if you can convince the counselors that you'll be able to make a career out of what you want to study, you can study it. D:

GO FOR EET, BELLAAAAAA(rus)~~~

@stew: sorry to hear you're also suffering from throat pain. i was dumb enough to skip the nyquil last night, leaving me with throat swelly in the morning. i think it's nature's revenge on me. ;^; (allergies w/o being allergic to anything)
@zen: if you want to own the restaraunt (and you know how to make white rice, crab rangoon, and sweet boneless spare ribs), then ok. but i didn't know you were chinese.
@pitkin: i hate it when you can't take a class you want just because "it's not in your major". my friend (who goes to a community college) wanted to take german like she did in high school but couldn't because she's an art major. >:\

so i got to watch the ending to rupaul's drag race (finally, it only aired about 3 weeks ago) but found out that someone deleted one of my dr. who recordings (the first part of the 2-part season opener). >:[ so i deleted the other one (as it's pointless to watch the 2nd half of a 2-part episode), and am just going to continue with the series from here. spoil away, comrades. >.<;

I got rid of my bed and mattresses! I was nearly sure no one'd want them even for free, but today I received an email from someone who had sudden guests coming next week and wanted to have a guest bed very quickly: she came to pick it up right after I had dismantled it. ^.^ Power drill gone, I had no cheating methods for unscrewing the screws, but still it took no longer than 15 minutes to get all done, vacuum cleaning included. x)

Yay; after a long day at work, I'm now off and the weekend is here! Now, I await new Doctor Who...

I've taken from sleeping three to three-ish the last couple of days.

In more pressing news, today is Free Comics Day.
