windows 7 has a new system for computer themes. rather than be called a theme, they've updated it so now it's a "themepack" rather than a "theme". themepacks combine desktop backgrounds, colour schemes, sounds, and screensavers all in one (you can also include icons, cursors, and user account pictures, but the first 4 are the base ones), making changing your theme quite convenient.  windows 7 has also added the feature of background slideshow, allowing you to have multiple backgrounds for your desktop at once, set to change at certian times (i have mine set for every hour on the hour -w-).

ps. i have my my logon screen set to this.

Thanks for making thirsty and hungry Zen.

The Presidents by Johnathon Coulton is pretty amazing.  He manages to come up with an important act of each US President.  Even if some of them are reaching a bit.
