@aurora I have Biology, Gym/Study hall,  Study hall, English, Lunch, World Cultures, Geometry, and finally Algebra2.

I like this because I can go home with the hardest stuff fresh in my mind! Also, I'll be more tired thus I will be forced to go to sleep early and then I will be more awake the next day (I wake up at 6AM every day)

Bella

Bella

YEY!

Found her at the Champlain Valley Expo, this big fair/concert/bazaar/rummage sale festival thingy here in N.W. Vermont. Stepped inside one of the buildings to catch a break from the heat, started looking around and found this man selling a bunch of old videogame consoles and games (ColecoVision, Genesis, a ton of old Nintendo systems, etc) and I was like, "WHOA COOL!" and then I saw this VIC-20 -- in its original box -- that stopped me dead in my tracks.

Me: "You're selling that VIC-20?"
Salesdude: "Yep!"
Me: *O* The squee I made could probably be heard throughout most of upstate New York.

I think it's an early generation model, because its in this box: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Commodore_VIC_20_box.jpg

$60, it turns on but it's missing a cable for the TV adapter. Came with a Datasette and a 1541 floppy drive too. The salesdude says he has the manuals for it too, but he left them back at home, so he's going to send them to me.

But then I had to walk that sucker back to our car, about a kilometer in the glaring sun and 90-some degree heat. I think my arms are going to be sore for a week, but it was soooooo worth it. (A labour of love!)

Bella, if I saw one of those this would be my face for around 5 hours:

Your so lucky!

Congratulations Bella, I also welcome you to the club.  Large and lustrous as it is.  Maybe the VIC-20 can come over and play with big sister Lily sometime; she doesn't even cause RF interference!

Class list: Statistics (yay!), American Revolution, Greek & Celtic Mythology, Intro to International Relations, Civil Liberties

Final random note: Just bought a book with a chapter entitled "Real Time: Reaping the Whirlwind".  It's all about Whirlwind, SAGE, SABRE, and the revolutionization of the Post-War computer industry.  Yay!

Chocofreak13

post the book title. that sounds interesting.

@nej: master! i was spreading your word earlier this evening! shouting "SYAMEIMARU!!!" out the window of the car at people! and at the other passengers!!

It's a mid-90's computer textbook which only makes it more intriguing for how interesting it is.

Amazing how such outdated technology is still so interesting.
