I was just given the news earlier that he passed away while at the hospital. Not 100% sure what the cause was, but it seemed to relate to the various health problems he's had over the past few years. I got off work about 2 hours ago, but have spent most of the night hanging out with my bro-in-law and one of our friends, to help him keep his mind off of what happened (Talking about video game stuff and whatnot while he had some tacos. I was still full from eating some pizza at work).

On the upside...next month, when my sister goes to the convention in Tyler, I get my own vacation; she asked me if I could babysit her dog while she's away, so I get a 2-night vacation away from the parents : D

TIL one of my classmates has good taste in anime and western animation, I knew my Godoka & Homucifer keychains would be an ice-breaker someday!

There was also an anti-Windows circlejerk at some point, because I've apparently ascended to a high enough tier in the CS/IT hierarchy where nobody wants to stand up for Windows. Bonus points for it being specifically pro-Unix and OS X (by way of Unix).

@ghibli: we have Whisper of the Heart at the library, when i saw that i was really impressed. they've done good and they don't even know it. but i need to monitor the collection a bit closer or else we won't get anything decent. :I
@alcohol: you're learning your limits, Cocks, which is good. just don't drink on Sundays, you'll be wrecked for class. save that for Friday or Saturday.

that's weird since all the chest colds i've heard about have been separate from this type and typically not as bad. maybe people only call it Bronchitis around here when it's serious. but idk. :\

You know, earlier today, I began thinking about some of the various video game sites I frequented as a kid in the previous decade, and how much they've changed; some feeling like abandoned buildings in how they haven't updated in years, others still going strong under a new name...and then there's the Mega Man Homepage; it looks basically the same today as it did when I first started going to it 10+ years ago, and is still updated by the same person that launched it 20 years ago -w-

EDIT: Since I'm going to have the house to myself this weekend, I was thinking about having a group Skype call as a "story night"; where we do dramatic readings of whatever we feel like that's a bit out of the ordinary (For example, I'm going to do a selection of my favorite stories from an old Nintendo fansite's "Worst Nintendo Experiences" section). I've already talked to Kari about it, and currently we're aiming for this Friday night after I get off work, if we can gather enough interest for it.
