@Kari: Aside from the extension, yay! ^^

So far, today's pretty good; was feeling down earlier in the morning, but right now things aren't too bad.

i was awoken to a text message before 8 am this morning by my boss asking me to come in an hour early! my half-asleep self saw this as an opportunity for more cash (and honestly, cash overrides logic, sanity, or personal health) so i agreed. ended up taking a lunch today against my will, sat in my car for half an hour. it was chaos and added chaos because we had to enter the cutting slips manually. EVERY. FUCKING. CUT. OF. FABRIC. manually. for those not in the know, you need to punch in the numbers for the amount (for example, 2.566 yards) and then punch in the numbers for the specific fabric's barcode (4001-8552). couple that with the fact that we usually had at least 8 people in line and people like to buy their fabric in bulk, and it took about 5+ minutes to ring out each customer.

on the upside, i don't work again till tuesday.... ;v;

That sucks; I've had problems like that in the past :\

My day was pretty good...even if our system went down not too long after I finished a phone for someone. Thankfully, when out system for contract phones goes down, we don't have to do anything; it's only a pain if we're mid-activation and it crashes.

What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

New Hampshire loves Subarus

And Lesbians love New Hampshire

Ergo, Lesbians love Subarus

Nichi

*thoughts drift to the .hack character, Subaru*

i'm falling inexorably into the pit of vermont life... dildos, ice cream, piercings, lesbians, flannel, and country music

...people outside of Texas and/or Tennessee actually listen to country? :\

winduko

I have observed that people in Indiana do too.

Bella

Considering that country is the most popular radio format the the US, I'm guessing it's more of a generalized MURRICA thing. (Yes, even in Boston!)

Or, you know, NORTH MURRICA thing considering it's very popular in Canada as well, eh.

NH is pretty much the same, only replace "dildoes" with "massive schlongs" and "ice cream" with "MUTHAFUCKIN' GUNS!"

Cockleshell

what the hell... why is there such a massive discrepancy between vermont and nh

this worries me more than a little bit

Honestly didn't know that. Granted, aside from some older stuff (Johnny Cash, for instance), I abso-fucking-lutely hate country :\

Multics........ is............................... BACK!

Also: A friendly reminder that I accurately predicted the year in which Multics would be successfully emulated in 2010 and may or may not be a psychic/wizard/psychic-wizard:

EEEEEEET'S ALIIIIIIVE!

By EEEEET I mean CTSS. Looks like sometime over the course of the summer, somebody built an (utterly incomprehensible at least to me) emulator for it. =v=

And to think, all those condescending technohipsters on Slashdot said it would never be done. (So, it was open sourced in 2004, emulated in 2010, that puts Multics on course for getting an emulator in, oh.... 2014?)

Country music is also big in Japan.

Buck Owens for scale.

Also my short vacation was pretty nice.  Can't complain too much.
