Hopefully, you won't run into what I did yesterday; when I noticed a garage sale down the street. Picture trying to look around, when you have this horrible-smelling chain smoker following you around, having to tell you about everything you see there (I mean, every single goddamn thing; like he thinks you're an idiot and wouldn't know this chair you're looking at is a chair). Honestly, it was one of those sort of people that you just want to tell them "I'll pay you $20 if you shut up and stop following me"

Chocofreak13

ughhhhh. did you give the guy the dirty look, or at least the polite "um, thankyou sir, i'm fine".

at the very least we didn't go to that today and the yard sales yesterday were alright. donated all the excess tapes earlier, too.

I have to go to Michigan in 2 weeks. :(

At first we were just going to go to the Detroit area but now we're driving about 200 miles north to the middle of the state to stay with my grandparents at their cottage.

Pros:
-Peaceful
-Actually not super-ugly (it's on a lake)
-Multiple bedrooms means i probably won't be relegated to sleeping on a sofa

Cons:
-We can no longer make the trip in one day, since it takes about another 4 hours to drive up there (NH to Detroit is ~12 hours)
-The drive is through Redneck Country™
-Dad's thinking of spending a night at "our" friend's place. They're very old HS friends of his and my mom and okay people but they're also JAYSUS FREAKS and good god do hardline Christians set me on edge. (To clarify, they became uber-religious later in life, when they were young they were actually hippie types?? Oh sweet terrible irony.)
-Sharing a cottage with my step-grandmother a.k.a. World's #1 Passive Agressive Minnesotan

Nichi

@Kari: I did give him a glare, but he didn't seem to catch on :\

@Bella: I hope it goes well :[
Also, those friends remind me of my mom's younger sister; she was apparently a very wild child when she was younger (I've never heard the full story, but from what I can gather from little bits I've overheard, it involved drugs), but somewhere along the line she became a hardcore "holier than thou" Christian; which she is to this day, lining up with the rest of mom's family perfectly.

So, today's had its ups and downs; stomach has been messed up most of the day, plus I felt depressed earlier when I began thinking about how we're upon the 2nd anniversary of when I took my trip up north yet I'm no closer to moving. Then I heard a coworker I don't like might be getting fired (finally), which made my afternoon.

Then, about 30 minutes ago, a childhood dream was realized after nearly 20 years; I beat Ancient Empires on Expert. It's been a long journey, but at last I've completed it 100%
(Now, maybe I'll finally get off my lazy ass and finish Persona 3; which I've left hanging for months -w-; )

ugh yesterday sucked so much.

got into a massive fight with my sister (which, not to sound childish, she started) involving saturday game. she claims "everyone is getting sick of it" but considering she's used the speaking for others trick in the past to lie to me, i refuse to take her at her word. if they don't like it, THEY can tell me, and we can end it. (honestly, if it's gonna cause this much drama i'm gonna end it regardless.)
i tried to end the conversation before it devolved into a fight by brushing it off with a "whatever" (since i KNEW it was gonna get worse if it continued, and that it should have been brought up to the GROUP rather than a one-on-one confrontation), she got all pissy and offended and said "don't treat me like you treat mum" (i still have no idea what this means since i'm pretty sure i treat my mum better than i do her, honestly). she got pissed because i got in her face, threated to kick me out a few times, and i left because i had better things to do than deal with her bullshit. spent half an hour sitting in the goddamn parking lot crying and waiting for my phone to finish updating, then drove home in ragetears and took an hour-long walk (turned around when i started feeling like i was going to puke). came home, went out with mum, spent the rest of the afternoon/evening when i got back doing random bullshit such as reading missing persons' files and downloading new backgrounds for my phone (i ended up more than doubling my collection :0 ).

no one came after me or called, which sorta cemented the "we don't need you" vibe in my mind, like they don't even want me there. they always say how much my character sucks anyway, so i get the feeling i'm only being kept there out of obligation or because i'm the best at searching, disabling traps and picking locks. that might be the pity party talking but it sorta hurts when no one chases after you when you leave.

i'm reeeeeeeeeally not looking forward to talking to her, alex, or even arty as things are going to be awkward as fucking shit. >>;;;;;

(@bella: ughhhhhh, that sounds like it sucks too. spend as much time as you can outside and bring way more things to do than you can actually do?)

To be honest, I miss playing tabletop RPGs, but trying to work out the scheduling is a pain :\

poor bby ;^;

I came home just now feeling quite angry from some reason, but then I looked at pictures of Touhou girls, and now I'm calm.

Life is like a coin. The two sides are pain and pleasure.
You may be on one of the sides now but remember
the other side is waiting for its turn
Simon was here :P

Chocofreak13

@pent, leaf, simon? : thanks guys, i don't think arty knows about any of it since she hasn't brought it up. i'm gonna ask her how game was regardless, cause i want to know what i missed. but idk if i'm up to asking her about the changeling game just yet.

I'm sorry to hear of that suckage, it really is hard to believe no one would go after you and at least talk, I would have.

Bella

That's awful, Kari. You said you don't feel like talking to her, but it could help to tell her (and whoever else is involved) how much her (/their) comments hurt you and ask for an apology. That's what I would do at least — then again whenever I get in a fight with somebody I tend to avoid them for a bit and then confront them about what happened once emotions have cooled off.

Also, let them know you enjoy(ed?) being a part of their game and that it's not cool for them to crap on your character. At the very least, tell them to give fair and constructive critiques instead of across-the-board dismissals (if that's what's going on).

Apologies if you've thought of this already. I just wanted to throw my two cents in.

Chocofreak13

it's all good, and i talked to Arty about it (she's been real flightly lately so it's hard to pin her down). seems she thinks i HAVEN'T been replaced (though we mysteriously gained a bard?), nothing SUPER-important happened in the D&D game and she was enjoying the Changeling game so my sister WAS lying/glazing over the truth. still, i think i'll end it, since if it's going to cause this much of a stink i'd rather just pull the plug than fight it. it's exahusting.

as for the whole "Molly Sucks" campaign, i think they mostly do it in jest, but it's still pretty annoying since i'm basically the only one that gets it. Sure, her Strength score is in the toilet, but she's a goddamn Rogue, Dexterity is her top priority. Strength was the dump stat for me because, frankly, i didn't really need it as much as the others as a Rogue. i'd rather have the Dex to pick the lock and the Cha to charm the guard than the Str to break the bars.

i'm gonna tell Arty to tell Alex to prepare Shadowrun. i just hope shit doesn't get more awkward from here.

Hope it goes well :\

In other news, pissed off severely that the mug I ordered from the Valve Store was broken in shipping, and of course they had to make it as hard as possible to request an exchange (You need to register for their Support Center to be able to file a claim for a return; which is, of course, separate from your Valve Store and Steam accounts for no conceivable reason). Hopefully I can get this straightened out >_>;

Honestly, I think I would have been better off buying it on eBay for more than double the price of it from Valve; as then, if something goes wrong, it's a lot easier for me to file for an exchange or refund.

I'm currently fighting with my parents in order to be able to use my graduation and personal money to book a flight to Oregon over the summer. My mother is fully in the know, but my dad insists on being a pigheaded fuck and just counteracting every argument I make with the threat to cut my internet. I'm just another fucking twerp to be dealt with.
What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.
