@stew: ahhhh, gotta make that more clear. still, that's an achievement to be DAMN proud of! i can't even approach ice without slipping/falling/dying. the highest of props to them for their medals. tell em' i said congrats. ^^
also, tv size is a moot point to someone who doesn't really like football. :\


FINALLY returned the dresss/sweater my aunt got me for christmas last night, the store only gave me a store credit but my mum offered to buy it off me. and hot damn was my aunt generous, even if the stuff was on sale. i'ma have to thank her, i never expected her to spend that much on me. ($66)
on the upside, though i'm not going to do a buttload of shopping in that store (ever), i did walk out last night with a little device to amplify GT's sound output ($12, courtesy of the gift card) and will be going in today to get a clearance hat that's going to be further on sale (a blue cloche with white feather, for a whole $7). the rest will be put into online orders and preparing for anime boston.

perhaps it's because they were the last to be connected to the modern telephone system. they're working backwards now; the earlier the phones got switched the later fiber optics will become standard. -w-

So, apparently there was a tornado in town while I was at work. About 5 miles or so up the road o_o;;

Everyone I know is safe, and apparently the only damage is that the smaller Wal-Mart warehouse (Which is located behind the actual store) is in need of roof repair. I suppose if there's one thing that was kind of cool, was seeing an actual storm chaser at work; who was getting himself some dinner and was also talking about the tornado with one of my coworkers
