Nichi

I'm a little nervous about it, but I'm trying to devote my attention elsewhere; like doing wiki stuff :3

I'm just hoping to get Election Day drunk with my adviser since we have class tomorrow now.

Bella

Wait, are you going to get metaphorically drunk on election day, or are you literally going to get drunk on election day?

THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE DOWNSTAIRS IN A VACUUM CLEANER AND NOW I FEEL SICK FROM THE FUMES EUUUUUGH.

Nichi

@Bella: That's not good >_<

@Stew: WOO! Let's get drunk and attempt to play Touhou!

Bella

So, I just found out that come tomorrow, NH could have an entirely-female higher government. I'M SO CLOSE TO LIVING IN A GYNOCRATIC STATE. ;^;

Also: I just found out that NH was the first state to have a majority female state senate and has the nation's highest percentage of women in the state legislature.

Also also: I just found out NH's has the second-highest percentage of LGBTQ people, with 6.6% of the population identifying as such. It's second only to Washington DC (8.1%) and followed by Washington state and Massachusetts (5.7% each).

I'M SO FULL OF NEW HAMPSHIRE-BASED FEELS RIGHT NOW YOU GUYS.

Nichi

Very nice ^_^

So, my plans for tomorrow consist of the following:
- Adventure to a local lake I haven't been to in years, for scenic photos
- Pay car insurance
- Finally watch Casino Royale (Since I'd like to see Skyfall, I figured I should catch up on the recent Bond films; given that the only one I've seen in its entirety was Diamonds Are Forever; the final film to feature Sean Connery)

Bella

Sounds like fun (well, except for the car insurance part). I can't say I've ever been interested in the James Bond movie franchise, though I kind of want to see the earliest ones because of 1960s campiness and all that. >>

Also..... I VOTED!! :D

Nichi

Yay!

I plan on posting the scenic photos later

Pitkin

Good work on voting. ^^

NejinOniwa

Fun fact: I worked the ballots before I voted.
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

Nichi

@Nej: Sounds like my sister. She volunteered with setting up for elections before she was old enough to vote

I used to always go with my dad when he voted, since he usually had the day off Tuesdays when I was in elementary school.  I know every voting precinct's polling place I've ever lived in.

I also voted about two months ago which seems really weird to say.

Nichi

I don't really remember going with my parents to vote when I was younger. I do remember going with my grandpa to meet up with them to vote once, but that's about it

stewartsage

My friend Alex and I (he worked as a volunteer for the California Election Board this year) were discussing the sort of sanctity in a polling place, like how it just seems to hit you 'you're actually voting in an actual election' when you get in there with the quiet, the booths, showing your registration card.  Granted I also haven't been able to vote in person since the last Democratic gubernatorial primaries (hooray open primaries!).

In other news, I should really stop leaving homework until the day it's due before doing it.  At least now there's no major assignments between me and FiM season 3!

You are one step closer to more MLP, man :3

This afternoon, I'm going to watch Quantum of Solace. Then, I'll be ready for Skyfall

EDIT: So, my sister's boss is an idiot. She got in trouble for using her phone yesterday to call me in...like her boss asked her to do, but she's getting in trouble for it. Wow
*slow clap*
