So, my quest to download Path of Exile has brought me to grandma's office with 2k once again. It's a little irritating that after getting up to nearly 45% finished, I have to start over from the beginning due to 2k being a bit too loud to leave turned on overnight :\

Well, maybe I can also knock down some of my torrents while she's here :3

Pitkin

Good luck downloading, Pentium! It's not easy, I know. ^^;;

@bella: WHENNNNNNNNN
@aurora: cool! did you get any pics? the location sounds pretty, remote places usually are. :3
(glad you guys lucked out on the weather, too. ^^; )
@pent: glad that it worked out in your favour. LOOK WHO'S A SMART SHOPPER[/wisconsinlady]

last night, i got the last anime mag i had been wanting from the bookstore, and i got new pigment liners!! (no more excuses on not starting that comic....)
also got a paper cutting set for my friend for her birthday. ^^
i also managed to show my mum (and my sister's boyfriend) some videos i had been wanting to show her for awhile: Falco's Wiener Blut, Beck's Sexx Laws, and the flash 8 HOUR SKYPE CHAT. -w-

today, there is an SVU marathon. so today will consist of torrenting, putting up posters, wrapping my friend's gift, and reading magazines. ^^

So, Path of Exile is finished downloading, and I also just watched all the episodes of Spoony's reviews of FFX and FFX-2

Now, wondering what to do; since I don't think any of my torrents will be finished today (Although I knocked down a good chunk of CCS)

DO THE DEW, DUDE~

(actually, don't. i heard a horrible story involving a man, a mouse, and mountain dew. >>;;; )

@Kari: Um...I don't think I want to know any more about that :\

@Aurora: You should share some of the pics when you can retrieve them. Scenic photos are always nice :3

i wanna see, i wanna see. ^^
i also wanna see a pic of aurora. >w>

EDIT: so i'm thinking of starting a blog, writing anime reviews. i figure i watch enough of the stuff, and while i wanted to do videos like nostalgia critic, he already has an anime reviewer, i don't have a camcorder, and i'm lousy on camera. >>;
by contrast, i have several unused blogs, so what's one more that'll actually get posted in? i'm also much more eloquent in writing, as evidenced by term papers past. -w-

@Aurora: Post pics. ^^

Some highlights from today:

-Dad managed to get SUPER LOST on the way to Cambridge. SOMEHOW he ended up like five miles north of Boston in freaking Malden or Medford or whatever the name of that town is, he had to ask a bunch of people for directions and I was trying to show him the route that my phone's GPS suggested and he was freaking out and I was freaking out and finally by the grace of whatever Deity presides over Boston we found a woman who was able to give him coherent directions into the city. It was really stressful getting lost (and I was running late as it is), but at least we got to see lots of sights in the Cambridge area.

-There seemed to be fewer vendors at the MIT Flea Market? Or maybe just smaller vendors. I didn't find anything for myself (dad ended up with a damned COFFEE MAKER and LIGHTING FIXTURES), but it was fun getting to socialize with lots of nerds and be treated like just another old-tech enthusiast regardless of my age or gender.

-I finally got to talk with this semi-famous computer-collector who lives not too far away from my town.... he owns four Cray supercomputers, something like a dozen PDP-11s, some PDP-8s, various CDC parts, and like a storage-container full of Macs. Aside from having a half-dozen storage containers full of old computers, he seems like a pretty normal person.

-I managed to baffle so many vendors in the course of looking for that radio equipment for Stew. Which I guess should stand as a testament to the obscurity of his interests in that field.

-I had really good Mexican food for lunch and got to people-watch for like a half hour, during which time I concluded the Cantabrigians are probably the result of a DARPA project to genetically-engineer a fantastically-pretty population of human beings.

-The first two things I saw in the MIT Museum were CRAZY 1960s ROBOT ARM and Tom Knight's LISP MACHINE.

-There were tons of robots on display, and some of them were pretty damn terrifying.

-The hologram exhibit was really disorienting. As was the exhibit of mechanical-engineering-based kinetic sculptures.

-At some point I took a wrong turn down a hallway and ended up at THE TECH MODEL RAILROAD CLUB, it was closed but they have a huge glass display so the public can admire their trains. They have a model of one of the MIT buildings that the public can play Tetris on! It was really awesome and fun.

-And then we drove back to Boston and I got to take a bunch of photos and generally just enjoy being in that lovely city. ;u;

@Bella: Sounds fun, even if you didn't find anything ^_^

@Kari: Not sure, but you did mention something to me about using Blogger

Aurora Borealis

@Choco: If you decide to make a tumblr blog, I'll follow it!

@Bella and Choco: I'll have to get my parents to send those pics to me.

DO EET, MAN.

also, i'll likely go with blogger as tumblr doesn't fit the model i was going for. :\

@bella: glad you had a good day! wish i had known about it, i might have made an effort to go. eh, at least we're taking a field trip to the boston public library on friday. i've only seen it once, and that was from the outside. -w-

EDIT: so 93% of my ceiling is covered, and the only posters left are my heart gold poster (which i might not put up, not sure), my deerfield fair poster (might not put up), and most of the posters pit sent me. of the ones she sent, there is a please! twins poster up, a Van Dread Second Stage poster, one for a visual novel called Canvas, and one for a series i can't identify. (all of them are double sided, btw.)

Wow!  The MIT Railroad Club is pretty famous!  They're some of the originators of hacks.

Nichi

So, I cut my big toe accidentally. Kicked the curb while wearing flip-flops ^_^;;

Bella

According to the Italian criminal justice system, scientists are supposed to be wizards who can predict future events. Excuse me while I go slam my head through a glass table...
