Harvest Moon is one of those games that if you've played one of them, you've played all of them.
Metroid 2... I dont know if I want to experience the survival horror I had on the NES and SNES, but now in peasoup color and laggy screen...
Though, I do know what the whole fuss about Metroid2 is about. Its a well made game for its time.

Also, I cant find anyone willing to sell metroid right now.

I've got one of those huge, black, brick-like things.

Dropped a hanger with swords on it yesterday, still fine.
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

One that comes to mind instantly is Diddy Kong Racing. Even 11+ years later, I still dig out my N64 to either do a speed run through Adventure mode or try to beat my best records in Time Trial. I still own my original copy of it, along with my original N64 I got back in 1997)

VonDaab

I got my N64 in '98. Only games I have left from that time is Mario64, Yoshi's story, F-ZeroX and Smash Bros...
It was a good console, though with crappy amount of games, yet high prices because of the cartridge format.(which aswell was incredibly limited in several ways)
I remember paying a "huge sum of moneys" of it. Heh, most consoles cost twice more nowadays. Yet N64 was called "expensive" those days...

CaptBrenden

Speaking of old games.. recently I got to thinking about how hard the 4th survivors game was in RE2, and I went back to play it. I could nto for the life of me beat that as a kid, i got close but never beat it. I beat it on the second try this time, and with plenty of health and ammo to spare.

I remember that the PSX had an edge over the N64 because of the Red/book audio that was possible with the use of CD/ROM, however both were seriously lacking by todays standards, if you look at metal gear solid, wich i´ll have to play again, Metal Gear consists of large flat surfaces, and Zelda OoT also looks like the graphics were pushed to their limits... I actually liked the graphics of Zelda ALTTP on the SNES better...
Meh at least i have the games and respective consoles, so i can play them, wich i´ll have to do sometime...

Biggest problem with the N64 was its Cartridge, as its size was limited to 128MegaBytes, IIRC. Compared to PSX's 700Mb. This was obvious when you looked at N64's sprites and texture quality, as they were mostly very blurry and overstretched. Also, all music had to be made in MIDI or similar format, as it was simply the best way to keep the sound files small.

Also, Cartridge made "multi-discs" impossible, something what PSX's Metal gear and FF series were known about. Like, wasnt FF9 around 4cd's?

This just continued the small "downhill of bad designs" which Virtual Boy started. GameCube having the same problem with the incredibly stupid 8cm disc, which had roughly the half of a regular DVD's capacity.
Both N64 and GC had better specs than the rival Sony console, but both failed as they were incredibly limited because of their poor game data format.

CaptBrenden

but include waggle, and everyone is willing to forget that their system isnt capable of what the others are
