i woke up this morning with a dream that i was with the gang from the show Recess, only they were alot older (so was i) and apparently we were childhood friends. everybody but TJ and Spumoni were there (gretchen said that they couldn't find TJ and wouldn't say why Spumoni wasn't there), I think Gretchen was turned into a guy (?? i thought it was TJ but he wasn't there...), and there was a bunch of other random people i didn't know but seemed familiar.
apparently we were gathered to plan a rebellion against.....something.
and all the guys blushed like hell when i changed into my tanktop. weird. .____.;

good dream though. love adventure dreams. ^^

TV show/movie/book dreams are always so weird, I kinda resent having them because it's like OMG THE MEDIA HAS INVADED MY SUBCONSCIOUS. ><;;

Being-on-the-Internetz dreams are kinda freaky too... LIKE I'M NOT CONNECTED ENOUGH IN MY WAKING LIFE?!

I remember having a dream (years ago) where I logged onto OSC and lo and behold there was this new member who >gasp< actually liked my original vintage OS-tan designs. This happened back in 07, 08 maybe, when we didn't have such a cozy little community and almost nobody made original OS-tans.  Pretty much just me, Aurora and C-chan, the latter of whom was pretty much constantly feigning retirement, kvetching about loss of inspiration, making grim prophecies about the future of the forum etc, etc, all rather depressing. But I digress. So there was this new member, and I remember how surprised I was that we were carrying on a conversation about old OSes and their -tans. And then I woke up and I was a little bummed out. ):

Dunno... it took a couple years to happen but I think that was a psychic dream. d:

And then there are the dreams where you meet people from the Internetz, which are also rather disturbing, because it's like... okay, I'VE NEVER MET YOU IRL WHY IS MY SUBCONSCIOUS THINKING ABOUT YOU!? That said, the majority of my dreams are populated with people I know (or at least know of) rather than figments of my imagination.

Earlier this summer I dreamt Kari was a famous anime/manga artist. She was having an art book published! And we were walking around this crazy big old Victorian-style house, and she was showing me pages from the book and I was like, tres impressed. And there were other people around, but I sort of forget who.

Also: last winter had a dream about an OSC convention... on a boat. Well, more like a cruise ship. A rather depressing cruise ship because it wasn't very fancy or fun looking, but something of that magnitude. And like everybody was there, just sort of chilling in a living room kind of setting, but none of you looked how you actually look, because the member picture thread didn't exist yet. xD

Sometime this week (can't remember which day, but presumably night tue-wed) I had this dream in which I, for some unknown reason, poured water on DELTA as she was operating. She was set up in a different manner than she is now and it was in a different room (possibly it was a bad reimagining of my dorm apartment, but seeing as I remember it pretty well I can't see how that's likely, so it was probably something more random and figmented), but she was live and running and I was pouring water on the topside where the screen was, and then witnessed through an odd perspective the water dripping down into the case. The reaction wasn't all what you'd expect, but it went some sizzle and fzzt and started flimmering before I woke up.

The curious thing is that I have a possible logical reason for this dream; when by my computers (though mostly LAMBDA these days) I often consume various foods and liquids, and when I hold my glass above LAMBDA I get this chilling feeling of "what if I dropped it" and such.

My only question is why I wasn't bothered by it at all when I woke up...
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

Chocofreak13

be cause it was a dream. counter-productive liquid cooling.

although it sounds interesting to see liquid INSIDE your display....

@ Kari: hopefully that was another prophetic dream. :B

@Nej: I know that feeling, actually. @@ I'm always so cautious when I have drinks at my desk, I usually try to set them on a table next to me or keep them near the edge (so if I should knock something over, it'll fall on the floor and not flood my keyboard...) D:

Anyway, I've developed a couple of odd dream-habits; one is having dreams within a dream (I'll go to sleep in my dream, have a dream, and wake up all within another dream) and the other is referencing dreams I've had in the past within a current dream (ie: my subconscious remembers past dreams I've had while I'm dreaming).

A good example of the latter I had last night; I dreamt I was at this huge festival and that it was very hot out. So I walked into this big AC'd building to get out of the heat. When I walked in, I remembered: hey, there's a pool in this building! Now this is where the reference to the past dream comes into play -- because the building and pool I was remembering was actually a part of a dream I had several months ago. So anyway, I walked through this building (which was sort of like a marketplace) and down a hallway and ended up in this BEAUTIFUL pool room. Then I remembered I didn't have a bathing suit! Not wanting to go home I did what any reasonable person would do in this situation: decided to go au natural. In front of a several other people. And I was like, SCREW YOU PEOPLE I AM SWIMMING DAMMIT! I finally found a bathing suit to use in the end though... xD

Sorta forget what happened after that though...

I wonder: does anyone else here have the ability to remember past dreams while dreaming? I've never heard of such a thing happening before and the people I've talked to said they haven't... :\

stewartsage

I've had dreams link or reoccur if that's what you mean?  Including consciously recognizing the past experience as a dream, but not the current dream as a dream.  I've been awake for 33 hours.

Let us hope to all hell that the Brit doesn't find this post. ;W;

As for referencing dreams within dreams, I have quite a few times revisited an old dreamscape and remembered (sorta) the dream I had in it last time. There are more uncanny parts of it, though...which is why I hate sleeping. -_-

"uncanny?" explain. xD

@bell: i think i might have.....but i can barely remember dreams i've had unless i've written them down or they were particularly striking. i've had repeat moments of deja vu, however (adding into my personal psychic diagnosis), which can get confusing and creepy pretty quick (and sometimes funny).
and nej, the american found the post! bells! skinny dipping! we should! whoo!

@stew; take two unisom and skype me in the morning.

@Stew: not a reoccurring dream, but being able to remember past dreams (either as dreams or real occurrences within the dream-world). But yes, your description of the experience sounds about right. Damn, I start getting wonky after being awake half that time... >>

@Nej: Cage the Brit? XD

I've revisited a dreamscape once, but other times I'll just make reference to past dreams within a current dream. To wit: in a dream I had awhile back where I was in a sort of labyrinth setting, I told my companion that "I have these sort of dreams a lot". And it's true, most of my dreams involve labyrinths/mazes/finding new areas to explore/getting lost in large areas, and the like.

@Kari: I have to keep a dream journal to keep from forgetting most dreams; the majority I forget before I'm fully awake. :\

Deja vu, you mean repetitive dreams where you keep doing the same thing (or variations of a single task) over and over?

Skinny dipping ftw!.....jk i'm way too shy. .__.

Chocofreak13

aw :[ you're breakin my heart here bella xD
and i meant literal deja vu, like of waking events. :\

Oh I'm not shy about you Kari, it's those dirty old creepers hiding in the shrubs with cameras. :V

I get waking-life deja vu sometimes, it's weird. :\

Chocofreak13
