Oh, and here are some weeks-old sketches I've been to lazy to post:



A while back we were discussing a good "military outfit" for RSTS-tan....well, here's my idea for an outfit that all the DECs would have worn...(note: RSTS-tan was included in the pic, but since it's kinda old, I had already done another design for her)



Here's a non-doggirl RSTS-tan! And I tried to make her design a bit more interesting. I gave her heavier eyelids/features to try and emphasize "bulldog", without making her an actual doggirl.

Also, she owns a bulldog.



VAXELN-tan

Here, she's depicted as a teenager, so I gave her something of a "cadet's" outfit. I'm not sure about hair/eye color, it'll probably be blue to fit in with her family.

I made her young for a few reasons:

-FreeVMS is young itself (just a couple of years)
-It's a fairly small project

Okay, so two reasons Her attitude is that of a consummate VMS-sama worshiper, and she is very strange and unknown.

I'm still surprised you said you haven't done anything both futuristic and beautiful, when I've clearly seen that stuff come off your drawing pen.  ^___^
Granted VMS-sama is not Adamantix-futuristic, but she's is cool to a fault and she is beautiful, so what's your worried?  ^^

This in particular is one of the sharpest pics you've made of her, and her eye/expression is so extremely cool and well drawn, with a hint of grace and mystery from the white hairbang draping over her face.  ^.^

Cute, and the fact that she's young, cute and stuck forever at the cadet level reminds me of Amiga-tan back when she was a Commodore girl.  I likey! ^__^b

HAHA!  So she really is like VMS-sama's very own eComstation-tan.  In many ways, I think both VMS and OS/2 are in the same predicament, albeit for reasons that are in complete polar opposites of eachother (OS/2-sama hates the Windows family with a vengeance, while VMS-sama secretly loves them).  Granted sufficient exposure with eachother, perhaps FreeVMS-tan and eCS-tan can,.... collaborate from time to time.  ^.^

Overall looks are fine for sketchwork, but just to let you know her hair is parted a little far back and too far to the left.  Bringing it a little lower (to make her face look wider) should help give her a more youthful look too.  ^.^

Well yeah, it does seem sexy and almost certainly maneuverable.  But it still feels a little too down-to-earth, almost as if she were dressed up like a futuristic cop.  Remember that Solaris-sama used to be quite gawdy and arrogant (and obsessed with godly sun symbolism), so even the latest tests of humility have not diminished her interest in wearing wastefully-flashy and decorative armor.  Like Siya-san was talking about, I think it would help to look at pictures of ancient Egyptian, Persian, Chinese, Thai, Aztec, incan or Indian royal wear (back when elaborate, exotic clothing was almost alien-like), merge them with equally exotic armor from the same time and places, and visualize a modern take on them.

Probably too much work to be worth it, but that's the reason why it's a challenge.  ^.^

Somehow I think their love of pillaging and plundering (95-tan: Mac and other home PCs...NT-tan: the DECs, Unixware-tan, and other pro OSs) would have been one of the things that held them together in friendship.
But aside from 3.1-sama (who I think NT-tan would have a very "pretty big-sister" attachment to), I never thought a lot about her interactions with the 9x Windows-tans...
