Linux-sama looks great in her new dress! And very clever usage of gradients- At a first glance, I thought she was wearing just a white swimsuit under her black dress!

Those gradients are mostly laziness on my part--I didn't want to have to figure out all the lining and shadowing if that whole dress was transparent XD

and the dedication the Multicians have to her! And it is interesting how they still remain dedicated to Multics even though the last mainframe (or was it a server? Something like that) running it shut down years ago!

I, too, find the Multicians fascinating. I believe they were the first OS advocates, and still are to this day.

Your latest rendition of VMS-sama, I think is your finest one yet! The way you drew her and the addition of the mask capture her personality well! Very tough and mysterious and looks like she's waiting in the shadows for when the time is right to STRIKE DOWN SOME ENEMY ***!!

To say you got the idea is almost insultingly simple. It's almost as if you ARE MULTICS-sama, and pouring everything you got into one bold statement to the world declaring "I existed and I was important, and you'd be playing with abaci if not for me!"

Poor young UNIX-sama,... very few people now would've realized how powerless she was at the time compared to the then rivals. ;___;

Yes, but she managed to pull herself out of the depths to become, perhaps, one of the best-known (at least among technical types) and most influential OS-tans of all times, Unix (and it's decedents) are known as a standard of sorts to which other OSs are compared to. Nearly every OS today has some Unix influence.

Notice how we've never heard the phrase "VMS-like" or "TOPS-like"

I still see two wings, so I'm guessing this was still in her prime. If so, the background will need a "Château de Versailles" look to it. ^___^
(Naturally, her subsequent dwellings after her fall from power become increasingly "pauper" like by comparison.)

She is looking like one migh-tey fine Hot Mama ready to unleash a Can of Whoop-Aspartame on anyone!!!!! ^V^
Plus I think you've definitely captured the desired form of her cleaver the best in this picture -- combined with the mask, flowing hair, and the cool streamlined outfit, I agree with Aurora that this is one of VMS-sama's best depictions!!!! ^V^

Hehee...I'm just about done with some sketches of RSX-sama, Ultrix-tan, and RSTS/E (which I've discovered was often pronounced as "Ristess")-tan...RSTS-tan's outfit is especially giving me trouble, as I was to make her kinda "bulldog-like" because of RSTS's mascot:



But I don't want to abandon all elegance...

Any ideas for tough-in-a-cute-kinda-way outfits would be appreciated

And, I'm not sure if I want her to be a dog-girl (kinda cute for modern OS-tans, not sure for such an old one as herself), or just have a pet bulldog...?

Incidentally, the Anime is very good, but the manga blows it WAAAAAAAY out of the water in terms of length, depth and overall epic win!  ^___^

I see her attitude as loyal, tough and intelligent, but like many of DEC sisters, old-fashioned. Although VMS-san took away much of her business and fighting abilities, RSTS-tan still enjoys the interest of hobbyists, (because RSTS/E is available for use by hobbyists under a no-cost license, emulated on any PC).

As a youth, she was mentored by RSX-sama, along side of VMS-san. She was always the tomboy of the family, and physically I see her as having short, messy, light-hair, with dark reddish-brown eyes.

Thanks for the ideas, but I'm still unsure about the outfit : /
