This is a very good episode, and thankfully, one that only keeps strengthening my headcanon.

I really hope it's something temporary, for instance, Twilight "apprenticing" as ruler under Celestia, but then she realizes she isn't ready for the responsibility of being a princess / would rather be with her friends than in a stuffy ol' palace and ends up going back to Ponyville. That would be a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming.

If it's permanent, well...
