*clears throat*  Considering that my computer world revolved around Windows, Macs and Linux not but 6 months ago, its impossible even for a human (let alone a pig... ^^; ) to learn all there is to know about 200 hundred different Operating Systems.  ^_____^;

I may sound like an obsessed Amiga supporter, but it's more envy than savvy -- my knowledge of AmigaOS truly begins at Wikipedia and ends in its links.  ^____^;

So if there's anything else that I can use to flesh out her personality a little more,... *nerve pops* like obscure furry mascots, for example,... by all means don't hold back.  ^v^x

If you need my, I'll be at my Annex moping and stuff over my exposed mediocracy....  -v-;

*trots off*

*steals c-chans "E" so that he mops instead, cus the forum needs a good cleaning*

If you read Sabrina Online, Amy the Squirrel pops up in there from time to time.  ^^

Obscure?  ;018

Well, in the Eighties it was pretty famous, and other OSes people were envy we had such a beautiful mascotte, and featured in almost "real" cartoons...

But you had had got an Amiga to see these anims, or connect the amiga thru antenna cable to a VCR and record it to a videocassette to let other people see it (obviously if you don't had Amigas at home).

All Amigans joined to a respectable fan club or with a reasonable amount of Amigan friends have heard of Amy the squirrel, because we share a monthly publishing of open source floppy disks called Fish Disks, from its creator Fred Fish.
It was spreaded into Fidonet net, before the advent of Internet, and spreaded also thru disks on Amiga magazines worldwide.

Fred Fish collection of over 1000 Floppy disks eventually merged with Aminet repository as the centralized Amiga archive was created when Amiga went internet (almost since 1994-1996).

P.S. Sabrina OnLine tells the tales of Sabrina the Skunk(?) the Polecat(?) as the animalized personification of any "common Amiga user" facing on internet a Windozed world...

P.S. Again: Thanks to YouTube I found an animation of Amy you all can see thru internet.
Warning.: You have to log in into YouTube as it is 18 age rated.

[EDIT] Whoops. Sorry! I didn't noticed that animations on:

http://www.randelshofer.ch/animations/anims/nav_eric_w_schwartzVE.html

..there are already in MPEG1 format.

So you all can see it. Enjoy!

Obscure relative to present day, of course.  ^__^'

In any case, Raffaele-san gave me the key to the great Amiga tome of knowledge!  ^___^

Hello everybody!  ;010

I am Raffaele from Naples, Italy!

I am sort like a real Otaku... (Look at my self-made Avatar if you don't believe me!) EHE!  ;006 ;012

And I am here on this beautiful OS-TAN site to let you all know that Amiga[/color] is far from being vintage!  ;011

I am studying how to draw some new OS-Tans for it!

See you soon!  ;010

Ciao buon uomo dall'Italia. Come siete?

Hope you enjoy things around here. It's good that you're here because this is the place where Vintage Os-tans can be recognized :D
