It would be the ATLAS detector, a part of the Large Hadron Collider built by CERN.
Really, the swiss make some really nice things...and excellent cheese, as well.

Yes, I'm fairly interested in what results we'll be getting out of that machine. Also, one cannot deny that tons and tons of arrayed metal and carbon has got a certain...style.

And please, the black hole thing is but a minimal, minimal faultline. 10^-40 is not something that comes true every day.
