Not so much... considering 7 is already around the RTM corner (well... not exactly... but it's close to be).

Anyways... more drawing goodies! It seems I had way too much free time yesterday, which allowed me to finish my drawing WAY EARLIER than my predicted date of publish. In fact, I actually managed to make two of them drawings. One is in normal anime/manga style and the other in SD style. Here's the SD one... cause I feel not like showing the other one! lol

Wow... I am surprised at my consistent uploading of art... had never been this faithful to people with my artistic skills since C-chan made that FOSA thread.

They take to long, you complain. They release fast, you complain. Srsly, I think Microsoft is just a punchingbag for you pick on, reguardless of if they are actually doing well with something or not.

anyhow, as for Win 7, Im not cirtain, as I havent cared enough to look up much on it myself, but my freind that works for Microsoft as an over paid consultant for the bill and melinda gates foundation(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_and_Melinda_Gates_Foundation who says Microsoft and Bill specificly never did any good) told me this:  Vista was thrown togeather, kinda like ME was. Windows 7 is supposedly what they have really been working on since XP. Its suppose to have all the stuff they promised that Vista didnt have and people complained about. Vista was rather short in development and was basicly released to fill the long development time gap from Windows 7.  

also, how did I know that you were gonna start doing Rena impressions?

wow, wow, i didn't pick on em for taking so long to release Vista...
I was just wondering if they had anything in development, cuz it was awfully quiet...
And they are really fast with releasing 7 considering the time XP had to age...
However, thanks for the thorough explanation...

And maybe there are some ideas there for 7-tan?

No, you didnt, but it was a general complaint from alot of people that they took forever to release vista and it was "no good"

and possibly, I dunno.  Personality idea maybe, but I think too little to go off of. Like I always say, the best tans are the ones that match the personality of the system.  Kinda hard to make a matching personality for a system that isnt out in the hands of the general public.

Well... the only way to get that through is by waiting.

But then again... personalities could end up to artist interpretation. Giving a persona to a character is way hard to do, and many artists don't really follow the exact same path that the logical thinkers take when portraying characters. In any case, I would go myself for giving her a logically thought up personality, likely based on what was thrown in for Vistan characters.

Uhm... guys... is double-posting allowed? I checked the rules section for information, but found nothing on the matter. In any case, if it isn't allowed, please note me on it and I will take the appropriate measures to correct this.

Anyways... I managed to turn one of my earlier shown concepts into vector and gave it a more livelier look. And by "livelier look"... I mean colored it... lol

Well... here it is...

She still reminds me of Chivistan but she looks great!

Well... seeing as how little has been done to change the UI of 7 to that of Vista... I got in mind keeping her looking close to it... I was imagining a scene where XP and the gang mistook 7-tan for Chivistan... and then Chivistan appeared and ME had a "system freeze" over the confusion. lol

But I guess your comment meant I should go for... making my concept look more different than Chivistan?

I do like your design as it is but keep in mind that Windows 95, NT 4, 98, 2000 and ME look so much the same yet their OS-tans look so different. Your design can keep a resemblance to Chivistan but it should be toned down a bit.

EDIT: Oops! For a moment I forgot that most of the early Mac-tans resemble one another so that makes me a hypocrite! Feel free to disregard this.

You could just edit that picture to enhance her eyes and get rid of the zombie look (though I like zombies!)
