Passed the theoretical license test

Now all that's left is the practical one and I think that one's gonna be a little easier.

I'm studying for my driver's test too. I have no trouble remembering obscure facts that, while present in the practice test, will never actually come up in the written test (for example, that one needs a commercial driver's license to operate any nonrecreational vehicle over 26,000 lbs GVWR and that an "E" restriction means a person can only drive automatic transmissions); but the ones that actually WILL come up I have no memory for. (Example: all the questions involving distances. "You must park _____ feet away from all fire hydrants"; "You must not pass within _____ feet of a bridge or tunnel"; "You must not pass within ____ feet of an intersection"). I literally do not have a memory for numbers.

Oh yeah... I was gonna format this old HDD and make another backup disk for my iMac, but then I came to the conclusion that when an HDD is starting to sound like an 727 tape drive it probably shouldn't be used any more. Clickityclickityclickclclikclickity.

It's a trap!

So yeah, last night I cleaned my entire room on my hands and knees before packing up almost all of my belongings. I don't leave school until next Thursday. Granted this is a huge improvement over last year when I sort of packed but not really because I was still in bed asleep when my parents got there to pick me up. In other news OREO PANCAKES. Besides that, I already have my first (take home) exam in hand; it's easy but I just have to remember to do it.

I remember the 500MB HDD that was originally in Minefield sounded like that before I replaced it with a 2GB. The motor in it was dead, as it'd make what sounded like a moaning sound every time it tried to spin the plates, which led to some jokes about it being haunted.

@pentium: yeah, they usually do. fed-ex and us mail is usually faster and more reliable. :\

I need to buy a dress. According to my mother, I need one that is not black. Dug my own grave, I guess: I mentioned to her that a friend had invited me to her wedding, and when mother heard I only have a black dress or two she went on for 20 minutes about needing a pink or a blue or a green or a yellow dress. All the colours are practically fine, just the dress itself... I'm not made for one! ._.;

So then I tried on my super-simple black dress, and remembered the challenge that is the VPL! That does it, if I'm going to get one, it's not going to be skin-hugging and made of thin fibre. ><

Yeah. I was waiting on the new heatsink for 2k-tan to arrive; the old fan removed and everything ready to put the new one in at around 6PM...but UPS didn't show up until 9. Also, that heatsink was a pain to install with how little room I had to work with; I really should have done this earlier into the build, when this was easier to get to

As way of an answer, Zen, allow me to simply add: You can do it Pitkin-dono!

So as of this morning attending class actually crossed the pointlessness horizon. One of the other science professors came in to give a lecture everyone actually stayed awake through, our British Crime professor gave us a take home exam, in US History we talked about the way political parties in America have reversed positions (which has no bearing on anything else in class), and as I recall we're watching a movie in the Third Reich. Yep. Done. Time to watch some anime.
