@pitkin: it was hard for me to re-learn cursive, since before late high school i hadn't used it since 3rd grade, when i learned it. to this day i don't know the proper way to write cursive lowercase z's. :\

NY trip is tomorrow, expect pictures and bitter, annoyed accounts. on the upside, i've found a place near the museum that sells used manga. on the downside, i have to get up at 4 am. (and won't get back to my house till midnight.)

I had to look it up myself a while back

I haven't written cursive for, ehh... since I was 12?  13 years ago...

I write in monospace sans, 4realz :p  Except my name, which I use a big cursive J for when signing autographs and checks for large sums of [what I call] planks. Plank money. That's the currency that my country uses.

yeesh, they required it at your school? for us it was hard enough learning it, after that we never wanted to see it again. >__< (well, i kind of liked the look of it, but it was hard to do ^^; )

Every school I've been in has required cursive writing. For everything. Luckily for me I love handwriting, and feel like a special snowflake for being such a committed practitioner of a dying art.
