what's so bad about breaking 800? just leave it. :3

in related news: i brok 5k and didn't even realize it. :3

Nothing bad, it's just that the suggestions forum had a lot of crap in its archives, part of which I had posted. A thread full of then-Japanese-now-rendered-to-nothing symbols, for example. x.x; I've been doing cleaning and locking most threads in the suggestions/problems, and deleting the worst ones.

edit: It was worth bringing this topic up: now I'm back to 800!

Chocofreak13

Must break evil Windos 95 rank! Xd

Dr. Kraus

You will not! Though the first OS I ever used was System 7.5 and I even have a t-shirt from apple representing system 7.5 I must back Win95! Without windows95 I wouldn't be doing what I do right now which is working with computers so I must say that Windows 95 is arguably Microsoft's best OS (Just for how stable and simple it is).

Krizonar

I will so!

hm... I get another Windows rank after this, don't I?...coulda thought that through better.  :P

Here, here!
Red_Machine: Flouting the Windows Lifecycle Policy since 1989!

Windows 95 was the OS on my first PC after I begrudgingly gave up Amiga back in time. Never have I used an OS so shitty to use and unstable myself. >.< Even last year when I was suffering Vista I thanked in my mind it wasn't The Win95... ._. My best experiences have been with Windows 98, 7 and Fedora 6. So far Linux Mint 10 feels smooth too, but it's too early to tell.

Very often I feel that the way the OS works for the user is all about luck: so many have complained about Windows 98, while I used it without reformat for like 6 years and didn't have complaints. I cannot really explain it, except that I was a bit older already with Win98 so maybe I was also more patient than with 95 and therefore don't remember it being a pain. x)

Krizonar

Just goes to show that even in factory settings being engineered by giant robots, not every computer is the same, as well as not every installation of OS.

Pitkin

Yes, I guess so. ^^ I'm sort of happy about that still: would be sad to have everything working exactly the same like... like machines! ;_;

Chocofreak13

@pitkin: yay i'm hoping to get the game!

and i found out there are unlockable characters. i was like OMGWUT *0*
win95 was my first OS, but it was my uncle's computer so i didn't have enough access to it to deem it "stable" or w/e. it didn't SEEM bad though. :\ not NEARLY as bad as *shudder* VISTA.

the first computer here was a compaq presario with windows 98. my mum got it from her work at the time. i think it was the last one left and on discount. ^^;

@krizo: quit insulting my OS!! you don't hear me ranting about macs anymore >.>;

EVERYONE KEEPS POSTING BEFORE ME SO I DON'T GET A TURN ;___;

Even a spec of dust can make the construction process different.

My Mac has a "beauty mark" about 1/3 of a Millimeter wide on the far right of the right palm rest where the aluminum was ground the wrong direction. So it has backwards lighting reactions. I'm thinking it was caused by a piece of dust being there when they began grinding it down.
