this college is very progressive and liberal (it's in northern vermont of course it would be) but it's still very inundated in religious imagery.
What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

that IS rather interesting. with Burlington being such a large college city it only makes sense that it would take all kinds. but i wonder if the people running the college are okay with their students being in such a liberal environment. typically the people running it are always a bit more into their jobs than the people attending or teaching. :0

Indeed.

So, It snowed here this morning. It didn't stick for long; in fact, you look outside now and you can't tell there was snow just a few hours ago. Still, was neat -w-
(Also, my mom was freaking out and proclaiming I can't go to work because of the snow. Less than an inch, and it melted before even dad had to go into work. Lulz)

Chocofreak13

you can always tell her the snow is taller than my car. :0

B+ here. :)

I really wish my eyelid would stop randomly twitching.

@Bella: Drink more water, or try cleaning around your eye in case something got in it?
Also, I think my blood type is A? IDK :\

So, trying to avoid the house today; mom was trying to draft me into helping around the house, when I just want to enjoy my day off work >_>;
(Plus, tomorrow it gets more complex; the parents need the van to get a new oven, so I'm stranded there and will most likely be drafted into helping put the new oven in, when I have work that afternoon and hate being drafted into doing something like that)

Chocofreak13

@bells: could also be a potassium or sleep issue, or you may need glasses/new prescription.

also, i'm O-.

i may have stayed at Steve's for almost a week but now that i'm not there i miss it. it's cold here and despite having TV i'm kind of miserable. that's due in part to a crappy day but also due to missing Steve and being passive-aggressively guilt tripped about my job situation. i want toast but my mum is out of the house and my dad is in the kitchen and i just really don't feel like getting up. >>;

I intended to go to that recycling place today, but mom refused to let me leave (And the shitty layout of the house makes it impossible for me to attempt to sneak past her to load everything up), so now I'm hiding out at grandma's office so she can't rope me into housework >_>;

Cockleshell

confirmed, if i'm ever in dire need of blood due to period issues or otherwise i will steal Kari's blood

jeez, are all my friends after me for organ purposes!? o__o;

(i was thinking about reviving the book thread, but given its age, i'll just talk about it here.)

got a book from the Salvation Army a few weeks ago, a novel from 1924 called So Big (by Edna Ferber). it's a bit worn, and the binding is coming apart (the pages inside are holding together sans the front flyleaf and first title page, but the cover is falling off), and it took me a little while to get into it, but i didn't have much to do today by waiting in the car a lot, so i started reading....and i got through 6 chapters in one day. i'm hesitating to start chapter 7 because i feel like i need a break, and like tasty food i want to savour it a bit. ^^

i went back to the Salvation Army today to see if they had any more vintage ones, to go back tomorrow to get them......and i found an original copy of one of my favourite author's books. George's Mother by Stephen Crane. 1896. mum lent me the cash to get that and 2 others: The Works of Daudet (Alphonse Daudet compilation book, leather-bound, 1929), and The Grey Story Book by Katherine M. Yates, 1904-1910 (hard to tell).

also, i got approved for food stamps today, and as a bonus i'm being put on income-based healthcare, too, so i may not have to pay the monthly fee for my health insurance for awhile! today fucking rocks. *munches skittles* >:3

EDIT: oh, and my mum was going through some papers, and found one of my college transcripts. seems one of the semesters i was going there i got straight Bs in all 5 classes i was in that semester, and even got a B+ in one! (and one of those classes was a 2nd semester Senior class i took as a 1st semester Sophomore! : D ) turns out i WASN'T a complete screw-up! : DDDD

EDITEDIT: THE 1896 BOOK'S PAGES STAND UP WHEN I OPEN IT AND IT STILL HAS NEW BOOK SMELL. I LOOKED UP THE VALUE ON A WHIM AND THE COPIES IN CRAPPIER SHAPE THAN MINE GO FOR $50 - $150. THIS FROM 99 FUCKING CENTS.

Chocofreak13
