most of today was spent with character creation and curry creation but it actually went okay. though i was so burnt out i think i accidentally fell asleep a few times.

events of this moment:

-made curry earlier today! i was reeeeally questioning the meat and thinking about the rice is making my skin crawl but otherwise everything went quite well. Steve described it as "Schrödinger's Flavour" but i really enjoyed it and appearantly Claire did, too. it has a milder flavour than what i expected and it was quite vegetably (i think i used a bit much on the taters), but otherwise was lovely. gonna be hard to convince people to be guinea pigs for the other brand, though.

-i may need to skip an upcoming cosplay event i was planning on going to. this irks the shit out of me as i have a free pass and i HATE having to give those things up. but getting my life on track and preparing for the holidays has taken up all my time and left me quite burnt so i haven't had any time to prepare. given i was planning on going as 3.1 and was making everything from scratch (even redoing my hair), i just don't think i have the time or the materials right now. at the very least i bought the fabric for the corset, so whether i like it or not that's going to be a thing at some point.

-it's funny, since while i'm posting this from Steve's as usual, and am going to be leaving tomorrow, i'm going to be heading right back tomorrow night and not leaving till Friday. ^^ (means i gotta stock up on food. xD )

-wonder how i can go about getting mein kraft for free. Claire might know.

@Kari: I once tried to torrent Minecraft, but the version I found was broken :\

I don't know why but (contemporary) games are the one thing I'll never pirate...

I'd like to say there's some moral reason behind this but I'd rather wait a few months and fork over $5/$10/$15 to Steam for something on sale than go through the trouble of tracking down and downloading something I don't even know will work. That and game development companies being notorious for hemorrhaging money...

Chocofreak13

bah, you goody two shoes. wonder if it's on sale.

I torrented Goat Simulator, and honestly enjoyed it enough to buy it during the Steam Summer Sale -w-

Chocofreak13

fooey. i'm used to torrenting all my stuff so this "paying" notion bothers the hell out of me....

can you mod the steam version of mein kraft? if it's cheap i may just buy it today, since it's something to absorb myself.

Of course. Granted, I didn't even know Meincraft was on Steam -w-;
But, modding is a thing you can do on Steam. I downloaded some mods for Goat Simulator, GMod, etc.

EDIT: So I fucking hate my sister's father-in-law right now. I missed out on going back to the hospital because of that idiot giving me false information, so now I'm stuck at Pizza Hut >_<;

;^;

Steve informs me that it is not actually on Steam.

It feels like I've been dead for days; barely talking to anyone, having like fifty videos to catch up on from my YouTube subs.... In a greater since it almost feels like coming out of a coma to find that life's sped right past you because apparently I started working for UPS just like a month and two days ago because holy shit I have thought about almost nothing since then.

First: Let me wish the entire OSC world a Merry Christmas and hopes for a bountiful New Year.  2014 doesn't really tip the scales on my personal list as a bad year but there were some rough patches and others definitely had it worse.

Second: AN ENNUMERATION OF GIFTS GIVEN TO STEWART OF SAGE (Or the Christmas Report)

Christmas itself was fine, great even considering the amount of inexplicable stress that usually occurs just because it's December and holy crap everyone needs to order fewer packages by express this time of year.  My brother and I actually managed to get one gift that surprised each other this year because usually he sees what I get him while he can't usually get something without his hand being held.  Day after Christmas things go to hell in a handbasket for two days, as they do, and I won't bother talking about it.  Now it's apparently going to be nonstop 'stuff' until mid-January.

Third: Six days to Bellsgate.

Fourth: Minecraft is available at Wal-Mart but not on Steam.  You can buy Terraria and Starbound on Steam.  You might want to try them,

Nichi

@Stew: I have Terraria. Never got deep into it, though :\

Chocofreak13

@stew: glad to see you've survived xmas! also this is the longest post i've seen you make in a very long time. glad to see you're alive.

also, am i to assume Bellsgate is you visiting bells? because neither of you have given me a timeframe on whether or not you're going there and i HAVE A MIGHTY FUCKING NEED TO KNOW SO I CAN DROP OFF SOME MOTHERFUCKING PRESENTS OKAY

He'll be here the 6th - 11th... I'm thinking we should hang out in Concord one day. I'll take you* to the NH museum of History, that giant antique mall and the fancy (but reasonably priced) Japanese restaurant if you want.

*as in drive you, I'm too poor to treat you all, sadly.

Chocofreak13

how's the 6th? Steve only has tuesdays and sundays off, and i'd rather go with the one where we aren't going to have to rush. (i'm dragging him along whether he likes it or not.)

I have to run it past Stew but it sounds doable to me.

We plan on getting a somewhat early-ish start, getting to Concord in the mid-morning (think 9am-10am), doing some things before heading over to Moritomo for lunch... the lunch special lasts until 3PM, but I'd like to get over there by noonish - 1PM. Then probably head out and do some more things around the city (Museum, browsing main street, loitering at Books-A-Million, showing Stew Market Basket (a.k.a. The Shop, The Myth, The Legend), etc.)

The only things I know will cost money are the museum (if we go) and Moritomo (regular lunch specials run $7 - $10, hibachi meals are $10 - $14) so plan accordingly. It ALSO just occurred to me we could go to the planetarium if we decide not to go to the museum ...

Happy new year! How's it feel to be in 2015? We still have about 10 hours to go here in the US.
