The burning hell wastes of my back lower left gums has subsided for now, after hours of disgusting hydrogen peroxide gargles and salt water forced between the gum and the tooth. the tooth has stopped erupting for now, as it's now completely flush crown-to-side with my third molar. i'll survive until i can have this meetingwith my oral surgeon next thursday.

Aren't those two states right near each other? A couple of times a year I'll drive the 4 hours or so each way from where I live down to where my mom is in Harrisburg PA.

yes, they are right next to each other, but you have to consider that i had to drive from very very southern massachusetts (5 miles from the Conn border) up to about 30 miles from where Canada starts. I could see off a vista into Canada from where my college was.

When I go to Harrisburg I'm going from perhaps 15 minutes north of the PA line, to perhaps 30 minutes north of the other PA line.

Gettysburg is interesting though. That's about 20 minutes away. I've got pictures of Three Mile Island as well.

So, I did get some good news today; apparently my boss really likes me. She stopped Bill (Former boss from Gamestop) in the hall earlier to tell him about how much she enjoys having me work there :3

Also, picked up some cool things at garage sales; such as Ninja Gaiden for NES, a manga I've never heard of, and Morrowind -w-

Although I'm kinda irritated that mom wasted so much of my time by taking an eternity at one sale, and then deciding we absolutely need to go to Wal-Mart >_>;;
(So, I have to wait until I get off to watch this episode of Phelous I had loaded and waiting)

yo guys, i'm not dead! currently checking in from the dunkin's down the street (so, about 10 minutes by car >>; ) from ben's. guy just went through the drive thru that ordered a coffee with 25 creams.

@cockle: glad to hear you're getting it taken care of, all of us were kind of freaking out about you.

@pent: i'm glad to FINALLY hear some good news out of walmart. ^^

@genpop: yes, a lot of you got texts from me. to give you a jist of the situation:

tuesday: leave house at noon. run errands for mum, spend afternoon at library. get to deb's and sack out for awhile.

wednesday: leave deb's at noon. make it over to rindge just fine (was worried about getting lost, but it was mostly straightaways that were insanely long), meet up with ben and crew at house. end up getting pizza for the gang and playing CaH until dark. discovered i am the only one who gets cell signal there, by the pond in the backyard. poured all night, so getting in touch with people was nigh impossible. made for an annoying night filled with random calls/messages from mum when i would get phantom signal indoors all because she can't figure out her fucking voicemail.

thursday: drive annie (ben's girlfriend) home. forced to pull off highway halfway into trip due to ominous rumbling noise. turns out overheating problem WAS actually a concern as coolant boiled over. spend next 3~ hours stuck at gas station waiting for flatbed and calling people. get in touch with sis, who agrees to rescue us from annie's house in andover; they make it to andover before us and end up driving to westford and snagging us. spend rest of day driving around and hanging out with alex, jackie, arty.

friday: drive around with intention of finding cell signal for ben to see if he has any messages. drive maybe 60 miles overall through about 5 different towns before we end up at the Fitchburg Hospital in mass where he gets signal (so, a half hour from his house). pick up broom, pot, various other small items along way. run out of cash, ben gets emergency transfer from his mum. make decision to stay longer as ben has no car and no phone, and i'm not going to be a bitch and leave him in the lurch. spend rest of evening introducing him to various anime, letting him watch Totoro (his first viewing....*shakes head*), putting stuff together/away and making a duster.

today: breakfast, drive ben to magic: the gathering tournament in keene. stay at comic shop for about 4-5 hours during tournament, write comics. leave and head back to get emergency money transfer, get it, go to walmart to research vonage home phone. turns out they don't have any and the only phone service they DO have requires internet, which his phone can work over anyway. skip to now when we're looking up what cable companies service rindge and how much they cost.

if you guys have any helpful suggestions in terms of phone/internet/car/etc, feel free to text them to me. signing off.

@Aurora: I know the feeling. Haven't updated my personal tumblr in the longest time. To be honest, I got burnt out seeing argument after argument roll through my dashboard ... I feel like many parts of the community (well, social justice / social issues circles) are turning toxic and honestly I don't have the patience or mental fortitude to deal with it all.

That said my retro technology blog is still going strong. So all's not lost.

Gonna have to agree with you on the fandom thing ... I'd like to get involved in some of the "communities" there but they seem so insular ... /sigh

@Tumblr: TBH I avoid the social justice side; I just stick mostly to the AT4W fandom and retrotech :\

EDIT: So I'm honestly debating what to do right now, as far as work. My boss at Pizza Hut isn't budging on changing my schedule, insisting I change Wal-Mart's schedule...which is set 3 weeks in advance. Bro-in-law isn't able to do much about it, so honestly I'm left trying to decide if I should just try to fight with it until I can get into school and then leave Wal-Mart to focus on it (As I don't intend to stay on through Black Friday; they cannot pay me enough to make that hell worthwhile), or leave Pizza Hut and then be stuck juggling Wal-Mart and school unless I can get on at the hospital or something >_>;;
