@bella: I'd love to learn some python with you! I've been meaning to learn it for some time now and have only dipped my feet in a little with it so it would be great to learn along side someone! I could also get you going somewhat with Java if you'd like, but I would say to concentrate on python for the beginning. I've found that learning a programming language along side someone is better than by yourself so I'm completely willing to work with you! PM the info, I'm on skype most of the time as well unless its a school day because I'm stuck in class ;P

@choco: Working with renpy is pretty simple so after learning the basics of python you should be able to handle it :D

On the topic of Python as a programming language though, its a nice little programming language that is strong but can be very limited on how you can deploy it into an environment. I say that after we are able to get comfy with python we move onto working with more deploy able languages such as C# or Java. Even HTML 5 is more deploy able than python because its able to work on almost ALL platforms, this goes along with C# and Java in most cases.

i'm willing to dip my feet for the moment, but even thinking about delving into anything more sounds so overwhelming i'm gonna run for the hills. ;^;

@Alfonso: Nice. And good luck on learning Python.

EDIT: I got Slayers volume 1 on DVD.

Real people live near enough to an actual meeting chapter where they can get together twice a month to hang out and do stuff.  I live in a giant void of meeting chapters so, not much.

Time to get back into Linux experimenting so I can get TF2 items.  Plus it was time to update my flash drive of Mint.

So I'm apparently coming down with a cold :\

I worked with python during a summer internship back in 2009. I'm now working with someone on a Python Touhou SRPG.
It's a joy to work with, IMO. Having worked with C/C++/C#/Java, I love how readable Python is. But knowing others who swear by C/C++, they find python a bit unsettling at times. haha (for example, the use of whitespace)

In other news, at work, I've suddenly been placed in a role as a server administrator, while having next to zero prior knowledge of building a linux server. I am using CentOS, based on RedHat.

And in still other news, my old college laptop just had a bad crash the other night. Luckily, it had been showing signs of dying for years, so most of the important stuff has been migrated off. But I figure I'd still like to save the thing for posterity as a VM. Now to hopefully create one without it dying in the middle of creation...

guys, i never promote stuff like this, but please sign this petition. fox news' latest outing has decided to take a dump on my religion simply because it's a little less than mainstream. we're not hurting anybody. and yet even 4-500 years after witch hysteria was in full swing, people are still humiliating witches in this country.
