Considering how neurotic and anxiety-disorder-having I am, I worry about more things than not. -__-;;;; Thankfully I've gotten over most of my dental / medical-related panic (at least for the time being *sigh*) but as with Paul, I'm still terrified of falling gravely ill and am scared of rejection. I'm also scared of change (for the most part), isolation - oddly, I don't have a lot of friends and don't particularly care to either, but I love being around like-minded people and think that living someplace isolated or with people who I don't get along with would be rather akin to prison. Also, I'm beyond terrified of having to choose between the people (friends, family, boyfriend) and geographical location / population that I love (which is essentially only New England), which seems all but inevitable at this point. :z

In fact it seems to me as if I were at a point where everything just stood still at the moment. I'm not making any accomplishments whatsoever, don't know which further education to pursue...

I know that feeling Paul. :(

Nichi

I know that feeling. I'm also afraid of isolation and dying alone (I mean, I do like being left alone at times, but I do like being around like-minded people; being trapped in a place with people I can't stand is a special kind of hell), as well as rejection (Given that, as a kid, I dealt with that multiple times; someone kicking me to the curb because someone they felt was cooler came along) and the fear of someone preventing me from leaving this hellhole I'm in now (This is why I'm keeping my plans to move cross-country on the lowdown; at the moment, only my sister and you guys know I'm planning to do this. Mom will only know once everything is just about ready)

i know the feeling of being at a crossroads of bad and worse. i'm actually there right now with my schooling, since i know i can't stay at my current school, but idk where i'm going to go or what i'm going to do. part of me is regretting going to college.

as for the future, like bella, i suffer from some sort of anxiety. doesn't help that i suffer from depression even moreso, so my future isn't exactly seen through rose-tinted glasses; it's significantly more dark.

Mmm...pie flavor...

So, my copy of Rayearth is in Minnesota now. All I can think of when someone mentions that state is "the biggest ball of twine", thanks to Weird Al ^^;

I know the thread is 'topicless', I meant a conversational topic.

Nichi

Well, that still happens from time to time in here; somebody brings up something, and everyone ends up discussing it for a while

I USED TO BE A SNOWBOARDER, BUT THEN I TOOK A MOUNTAIN TO THE KNEE.

Seriously though, ramming my knee into a patch of hard icy snowless ground or not it was still fabulous getting out on the slopes for the first time in years. And DAT BUTTERY SMOOTH POWDER SNOW.

Note to self: wear kneepads this weekend.

I always wanted to try snowboarding in real life, since I loved Snowboard Kids and 1080° Snowboarding on N64.

Maybe once I move up there, we can meet up and I can attempt to snowboard :3

Only if you're as balance-challenged and fresh to the slopes as I am (I haven't been out since spring '10). ;^;

Out of personal curiosity, what ski area are you visiting this weekend?

It's difficult to pick up but once you learn the basics it tends to come easily, sort of like riding a bike. I'd recommend shelling out the money for lessons - in my experience it's pretty much impossible to teach yourself how to snowboard or figure it out by observing others and it's extremely helpful to have a knowledgeable person to explain how things work.

Sounds like an idea. I'll keep that in mind for after I move ^^

Also, urgh. Dad is using the fax machine, which is somehow screwing up my connection >_<;;
