In other news, part of me is tempted to switch from my Microsoft Natural Keyboard to the DEC keyboard I picked up this morning. It feels like the keys are easier to press, so I can type faster :3

also, i had a 98° poster when i was younger. it came as a promo in the frosted cheerios box, and i was psyched because my sister was already off to school so i got to keep it because i found it. -w-

@bella: i tried to explain to her on both accounts, but it seems that she no longer trusts my judgement when it comes to repairing/building/explaining computers because 1. speedy's failed on me in the past, which is totally my fault, and 2. she sees me all the time, which means she's gotten used to my talk. i also think it might be because i'm a girl. >>;;
when i tried explaining that rodney's building it, she instantly said "i don't want to hear anything about rodney". methinks she's at the end of her rope with anything involving him due to this whole shipping situation.
the solution here is that i'm getting my sister's fiancee, alex, to help explain. 1. he's a man, 2. he's knowledgable on tech-related things, and my mum knows that, and 3. his current computer is homemade and is the best machine he's ever run. >>;

the service was today....it was a slight ordeal, but i'm so glad i went. i miss her so much already, and i know it's only going to get worse from here. the mercy meal was better, since we sat, ate, laughed, etc. later on there'll be something at my aunt's house, swimming and family from canada visiting. like a family reunion with a sad twist. :\

I mean I realize that parents can be, and are, annoying at times and can have some rather backward/simplistic views just because of the time periods that they grew up in... but jesus ... if anyone ever insinuated that I knew less about computers or somehow wasn't capable of making good decisions because of my gender, they'd get a fork stuck in their eye. Luckily this has never happened (yet), so the eyes of those around me remain safe.

Why is the shipping thing such a big issue? I heard that there've been some problems getting the money order cashed, but how much is it gonna cost to send it home to Pent anyway?

@bella: i don't think she's directly insinuating that i know less because of my gender, but i get the feeling she'd believe a guy more, even if she didn't mean to. it's an unconscious thing. i think it's more because she don't quite grasp all the minute details of computers, and whenever i try to explain them to her she doesn't quite get it, so she doesn't believe me anymore when i say a computer's good or not. it's not my fault that speedy died or my sister's/her computer died. speedy died of the fever and hers was just crap. old crap. it was on its way out anyway. >>;

as for his stuff, we were getting ready to ship it when all this happened, which is part of what's holding it back. but i had no idea you could even GET a money order at walmart (we always get them through the post office). i'm not exactly comfortable giving up my social security number to walmart, tbh, and pent didn't put the money order in my legal name, so i don't have ID to claim it. >>;;;

Returned from my Germany-France-Italy-trip yesterday, I tell you, it feels good to be home again! Unfortunately there were some... problems with people that kind of botched the trip for my family. (Not going into too much detail here because of aforementioned people. If someone wants to know more message me on skype, I need to let off some steam ).

Also brought a huge Lost In Translation poster with me from Paris <3 . And my dad's given me the task of building a replacement for Euphy... that's gonna be one big bad machine!
