so.
damn.
tired.

today was LOOOONG. mainly because i was lugging not only my backpack full of stuff, but a portfolio full of stuff and a cake tray with a sculpture on it. nevermind the fact that today's just been one fail after another. (according to my teacher, listening to headbanger music makes you a crappy artist. >:\ )

luckily, i managed to convince my teacher that i don't need to bring my sculpture thing down every tuesday. that's one less thing to carry. :3

@Bella:
I agree, I especially agree about TLC/Discovery becoming very exploitative lately.  It feels like the worst form of infotainment.  Not just with trans and similar issues, but anything that's on the fringe of "our world".  Instead of being truly educational and attempting to bridge gaps of understanding, it seems more like they're saying "look at how different this, isn't this interesting?" or more crudely "aren't freaks amusing?".  Granted, when it's a program on something like, say platypuses or kangaroos, I get it, but with certain issues there comes a responsibility to handle the information with a degree of sensitivity and gravitas.  Anyway, it's gotten to where about the only networks I can bear to watch in that little group are Nat Geo and Nat Geo Wild.

@Choco:
You should really avoid carrying so much stuff with your back, you could really hurt yourself.  It's good you were able to persuade your instructor to allow you to leave that at home sometimes, (s)he should be aware that it's not doing you any good to be hauling that around with your books :/.  Now if you could compel him/her to listen to some Slayer, (s)he might be a worthwhile person to talk to :p.

2 different teachers, but yeah. i don't have to bring the sculpture ever again, just pics of it.

as for the other teacher with the problem with metal, i'll just prove him wrong. ^^

oh, and i already have major back issues. but there's no getting around it. :\

Thanks for clearing that up... as they are all known to us as "your teacher", it might seem you're referring to the same person sometimes ^^;.

Anyway, there's no reason you should exacerbate any existing back issues by treating yourself like a pack mule - trust me on this.

This, absolutely this. The "documentaries" broadcast on one specific Finnish channel back when I still had a television were nothing but "ooh, look at those freaks, let's all feel better knowing that WE and no one we know are not like THEM!" Seeing a document like that about for example overweight, baldness or gender identity would have been just as educational as googling for porn on the same subjects.

On a brighter note: today I've so far baked bread and moved one of the plants into a bigger flower pot, and yesterday I got my first real real paycheck. <3

Today: First exam. Luck, bros, wish me it. Over.

Well, I called in sick at work today; this being the 2nd time since I started nearly 2 years ago. I'm feeling better than I did last night, but not well enough to function properly at work; since I barely got any sleep.

Pitkin

I've the feeling everyone's sick today: Fedora-Tan dressed more warmly today for work, I'm feeling ultra tired for the second day in a row and Remilia's got a sore throat. ;_;

NejinOniwa

Apparently my wish query was wrongly formatted. I should've wished for the damn exam system to be able to read my damn equations properly instead. Failed exam due to echnical terror! LOL. Not amused. -_-

@Nejin: technical error? that sucks big time. but shouldn't they just feed the document to another computer and not let it count as failed?

Today I got a call from our local music school - I'm finally accepted for singing classes :D *squeals with utter glee*

NejinOniwa

Didn't work that way, alas. Reexam next week though, and it was easy stuff anyway, so meh.

you know, i was thinking of the magic school bus this morning. specifically the episode on electricity when wanda patches that cable with tin foil and electrical tape. MACGYVERIN' IT UP, PEOPLE

anyway,

@nej: good luck on the redo. perhaps ask the teacher what happens in the case of technical difficulties next time. :\
@pitkin: i wish i could bake bread. every time i do it comes out wrong. :\
@idk: don't have much of a choice. and i've been resident pack mule for years. :\
@paul: good for you. ^^ i love to sing, so that you're getting lessons on singing makes me even happier for you. :3

in a bit, i'm going to make a metal playlist titled "songs mr. barrett doesn't want me to listen to". :3
