The crazy thing is, I SHOULD like Slow Foot Hockey soccer.... I tend to dislike sports that have elaborate scoring systems (American football and tennis for example), and you can't get much simpler than "get the ball into the goal". It's the reason I tolerate hockey so well. It's simple.

Yet, I nonetheless have no interest in soccer, nor really comprehend why everyone else in the world does. Which I can only chalk up to my Americanism. .__.

Good news, everyone!

My sister now has a vehicle again, although my dad wants to do a few things to it before she starts driving it (An oil change, for instance). It won't be much longer until I can return to my normal schedule...

@bella: don't blame things on being an american. it makes the rest of us look bad. >>;
@pentium: yay! ^^
@remilla: i always have trouble finding things to do at conventions, and when i finally decide what to do, i realize it's either too late or the line is too long. ^^;
@aurora: given that it's newish sonic, i figured as such. :3
@paul: yay! ^^

At least you got to your con Remilla, I couldn't figure out how the hell to get into the one I tried to attend.

Well, I discovered something interesting last night

Apparently, some money has been stolen from the place my brother-in-law is currently working, so he and all other employees save for the manager have been put on suspension while an investigation is being run. Considering how his boss is (That guy is actually worse than my boss from what I've heard from other people who know him), I have a feeling he may have stolen the money himself and is laying the blame on somebody else; explaining the "Now Hiring" sign in the window when every position is filled.

All the records of the money being stolen started before he was hired, yet there's a chance he may get fired over it. Hopefully everything works out, or he gets a better job

Americans suck and need to go die.

Dumbasses who make generalizations about an entire country based on the comments of some American soccer fans (lol contradiction much?) need to shut the hell up. Then go die.

It figures Sankaku Complex would take something like that and blow it out of proportion, that site is basically dedicated to the undisputed-can-do-no-wrong-awesomeness of Japan, porn, un-insightful animu-related top-ten lists, porn, pictures of anime figurines and porn. Intelligent reporting (or intelligence, period) isn't quite their strong suit.

It's an American site bitching about asshole Americans.

And at any rate, I was trolling.  I was imitating the people I was bitching about.

While I have close ties to Pearl Harbor and one of the things I did in Hawaii was go there (and cry, while she held my arm), these are still people in need and I have donated to help them.

What's past is past. Every country has committed atrocities at one time or another, it's the nature of human beings (particularly those in power, ie, the leaders of countries) and if we went around holding grudges for things that happened in the past, the world would be an even worse place to live in. The Japanese and German governments did horrible things in WWII, as did the American government, and the Soviet government, and just about everyone else involved. Was it terrible? Yes. Am I torn up about it? Not even a little. We shouldn't waste our emotions on something that happened 70 years ago, we should instead feel outrage for the human rights abuses and wars that are happening now and be working to stop those.

While hearing that you're trolling is indeed a relief, I really do hate Sankaku Complex. You just KNOW that they're handpicking the rude comments to make America look bad/Japan look good (as the hardcore weeabootards are prone to doing) - I counted 26 rude comments. 26, out of perhaps thousands of kind comments left by Americans. Maybe if they didn't have their heads planted so squarely up their asses they'd do another "article" showing encouraging comments, but then again we are dealing with a site that mixes (supposed) news stories with articles with titles like "Loli Licking Anime Uncensored!" and "Top 20 Flat-Chested Anime Girls". So I'd take anything on that joke of a site with a grain of salt.

Don't be hating on the DFC.  It's a wonderful thing.

I don't understand sport fans. So, losing a game leads to "let's burn everything and break the windows" -game? Fascinating.

Also, religion, politics etc... Everything should be banned (although things like banning alcohol in Finland back in time didn't really make the situation here any better. Well, now it's legal again).

What? No, I love DFCs, being a flatchest (32a) myself. That, and I actually find boobs disgusting. Some people can make them look good, but random large fat deposits on chest are really squicky in my mind.... at least imagining myself with them is. But yeah, back to the matter at hand, I dislike the way they presented it. And tagged "flat-chested" under "loli", further reinforcing the sickening stereotype that only adolescents or prepubescent girls are flat-chested.
