Work news: Cross training with Law Enforcement next week, hell yeah.  Plus, most of my co-workers went to see it at midnight when we all had to be up by eight AM with the theatre forty minutes away.

What kind of cross training? Your coworkers are big HP fans then? ^^

...

The goal: To not check any baggage when I take the train to DC
The challenge: to get all my clothes/personal items into my backpack, some other items into a purse and some food stuff/my water bottle into a small tote
The question: The backpack qualifies as carry-on luggage, the tote and purse aren't counted as luggage though, will I look like an idiot for bringing them both with me? Should I not give a damn?

svx = sad

At first I cursed myself for trying an obviously inferior filesystem called btrfs (I even knew that it has no fsck tool to repair it)...
And then I cursed myself for storing a bitcoin wallet on btrfs (not much though, only about $60 worth at current market prices)
And then I cursed myself for buying a Western Digital hard drive (it wasn't btrfs after all)

I hate hard drives :(

I hate these messages :(

I got to go on an adventure today; deep into the middle of nowhere, in search of a truck my sister saw listed online. We did find it, although she wants to wait in case she finds something she likes more (Also, she'd have to learn how to drive with a manual transmission, which if she can, she wants something she can drive right away without having to learn something new).

Also, as I've already shown in the member pics thread, I bought a new phone and was given a laptop for free. All in all, it was a good day

I wanted to create a new topic for it but.... nah I don't think that is necessary.
so guys, is it worth it for me to get this?

I'm using different size of mouse for different task and this mouse seems like a best choice for its size changing ability (of course I need those gaming function as well =P)

or is there any other kind of mouse which can change its size as well?

also, what are bbcode for youtube here O.o?

The R.A.T. is definitely the ultimate mouse in terms of being able to adjust it to suit you. I mean, it even comes with a screwdriver...

I don't know anyone who has one personally though...

I've heard that with a Logitech g9, which is largely hailed as the best mouse ever created, you can change the shell to suit your needs (but I never researched this!)

My favorite is the Ozone Radon 5k, which is a bit wider than say, a Logitech g5, but it has a 5000-something DPI laser and is just a joy to hold onto for long stints of time, as ergonomic as it is :p

I'm using wide mouse for gaming and I cant do my work with that..
my current mouse is the Behemoth OCZ.

Thanks, Stew. :)

So, on Friday I was few too many hours late so I missed all the interesting things there would have been at the con. So, I called a friend of mine who used to live in the city and asked her if she could recommend a restaurant for me. So, I headed to a pizzeria, had a four cheese-pizza and a glass of apple cider.  Would eat at the place again.

I started walking to school to enjoy the luxurious floor accommodation: I didn't sleep too well, and in the morning the useful places (bathrooms, public showers) were crowded. I stayed at the school for couple hours since it was still too early to go out.

I went out and was happy to have my umbrella Pitkin's umbrella with me since it was raining. I followed some cosplayers to the university and the area around it where the convention(s) were held. I sat down and read the convention brochure: the next hour I went to listen to "politics in One Piece", which was somewhat interesting even if I had stopped reading it around the... sharkperson's appearance. A bit later I went to listen to a panel discussion about superheroes and their...err, giant-size man things. Would not go again.

Well, I did enjoy spotting cosplays: I spotted a few Touhous (especially Cirno and Koakuma), the always popular ninjas, Vocaloids, Edward Elrich, KH characters... Also, Mizuti from Baten Kaitos. And pokemon trainers. And the Hatter.

The best thing about the convention was the anime music concert: the awesome conductor, the orchestra and Himeka. <3 The best Moonlight densetsu and Zankoku na tenshi no teeze I've ever heard.

Well, I decided to not spend the Sunday there, so here I am again. Yay.

Hmm...  You might benefit from something like the R.A.T. then!

Reviewers say it's comfy. I'm not sure I buy the bit about it being easy to adjust though...  There's almost too much to it, it seems like it'd be impossible to get "just right," and especially if you're adjusting it more than once a week :p

I've read more than a few forum posts where people say it stops working sometimes though...  I kind of doubt it's true, given the criticism I've read from internetz people about other mice that I've used and liked. Something to consider though

You should hit up a local shop and see if they have one you can try, because you probably won't know until you get to see it IRL :p  Maybe check out some Logitech mice too...  I haven't met anyone, anywhere, who has touched a Logitech g5/g9/mx8/etc and didn't love it for gaming/working/web surfing/anything

Acher13

checked the local store for this and they do have R.A.T.5 and R.A.T.7, didn't try a hands on yet but I'll try to have another look on my next visit.
R.A.T.9 was available too but the price is enough for me to get a new phone. sigh~

oh, a friend of mine just bought g5 might as well ask her to lend it to me =3.. hadn't decided on any mouse to get yet.

Party was a huge succes, everyone had lots of fun... Mission accomplished :D

Japan really deserved to to win that and needed to win it because of all the crap that is still going on in their country!
