Close enough, stewartsage: Nancy is maybe less than 200km to the north, and I didn't use exactly GPS to put the red spot on the map either. :)

ah France, my country's (Britain) longest lived rivals and ally's. I still like France due to the police and laws not caring much as long as people don't get hurt unlike here in America where its all "You do this, you go to jail forever". Good luck over there Pitkin when you get there, also try out some skiing in the alps over there my cousins tell me its amazing.

6 hours till we get 2010 out of the way; in my usual tradition, I will sit around the house and not go out and party, since partying = awkward social situations. My neighbour is having a First Day party on the morrow; we shall pitch in to the pot-luck by providing a cake. :3

No kidding. >.< We're already 1.5 hours into the new year here, so Happy New Year 2011 and all that. x) I've absolutely no plans for the coming days, but today my roomie and I went out for New Year's dinner at a local American Diner. I'm still stuffed. <3

Happy New Year to everyone, whether it's reached you yet or not.  The tradition here abouts is to watch movies with the family.... while I do read something unrelated.

Time to prepare the 'ol m-80's for lighting just for the hell of it. Happy New year everyone!

I just had an interesting three-hour-or-so-long conversation with some of our Bostonian neighbours at their New Years Day party; the majority of which was with this Vietnam War vet. Discussed: American history, world politics, Bostonisms, accents, reasons why NY sucks (he's a NYC native too), some old war stories and computer history got a brief mention. Very brief. I was just beginning my "Boston if the birthplace of modern computers" rant when one neighbour cut in with something like, "MY GAD YAH KNOW SO MUCH 'BOUT COMPUTAH HISTORY!" and it just sort of fizzled.

I think I overate, had too much cake, and also, a sip of champagne. @.@; For the New Years toast you see. ><;;
