GUH COCKLE I LOVE YOUR AVATAR. <3

Red you've been playing too many zombie games. :V

Currently in the midst of trying to arrange a Christmas trip to Boston... the current itinerary calls for a trip to Salem, then cruising down the coast to the city centre of Boston, through Cambridge, and westward to Framingham. Sort of a Bermuda Triangle of Bostonness. Mostly a business trip, but I want to get some fun in as well...

The kitchen sounds like an army of bears is rummaging around in it, but in fact it's just the drawer with all the pot lids that's gotten stuck and mom/dad's trying to shake it loose.

Bells: REMEMBER BROOKLINE!  REMEMBER!

Oh god my sleep schedule is completely insane, I don't even remember what happened over the weekend; it was pure chaos.

I've been playing my own B-17: Queen of the Skies campaign; up to eight missions with only two casualties and one destroyed plane.

sleeeeppppyyy....

@bells: come visit me.

peabody essex museum (wonderful place)
isabella gardner museum (also a wonderful place)

Finished ten with my ace tail gunner biting it in the last attack before England.

Tomorrow (today) I have my last two exams, Civil Liberties and International Relations, but depending on the weather I may be stuck here for two more days.  Not terribly happy with this news.  Also not happy with the predicted -23 to -29 degrees Celsius predicted temperatures.  Oh well.

Red-Machine

@Bells: come visit ME.
Places for us to visit:
Castle Bodiam (my ancestor's)
Swindon Museum of Computing
National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park
Various places in London
My house, especially mission control, as I like to call it (my bedroom is FULL of computers)

CHRIST ON A BIKE MY BOMBER CAUGHT ON FIRE AND EXPLODED!

Well, some of the crew survived the bail out over occupied France.  Of course Bells was already invalided home after the eleventh, Kari survived two gunshot wounds and the bail out, and the Brit's already a double ace.  (In case you were wonder; yes, I'm using you as bomber crew MWAHAHAHAHA)

In other news, it's kinda sunny and not snowing much so I'm fairly happy.  Time to pack the car and make the sojourn back to the old homestead.  Until then I have to clear off Jennifer and try and figure out WTH I'm watching on the Gameshow Network.  For once I can't figure out the rules or conditions to win within ten minutes.  Plus, I've only gotten one reference to the recent movie Young Frankenstein.

Full disclosure: I haven't slept in +/-56 hours.  I think.  I remember at least 52.

NejinOniwa

@Stew: i wanna bomb stuff too -_-

also in case of a visit here, since this seems to have become a meme of sorts...
Various rune inscriptions and other viking-age ruins in my town (there's a damn fuckload of them here)
Battleship Vasa museum (17th century ship that was found intact mid-20th)
The Old Town (historic sthlm)
Shrine Hill
And my house, I suppose. A host's gotta do his job -w-;

But it all very much depends on when you visit, really - things change a LOT between seasons here. Shrine Hill is absolutely wonderful in winter nights, while in summer it feels less like a shrine and more like a cursed place... And in case you visit during summer, going to the Clan Nest in the northlands is a must. Just a few things off the top of my head around there:

Mt. Vettberget and its ruins
The islands of Gran (means Spruce) and Jättholmarna
The various lagoons of the fjärd
The Nest itself, of course
The longest sand beach in northern sweden, less than 100m away from the Nest

I could keep on going, but the point is that the further north you go, the more good stuff is around. _W_

Double Ace?  Does that mean I'm a good pilot?

Also, what game are you playing?  Sounds interesting.

You're a ball turret gunner on a B-17F, but it does mean you're good at shooting down Germans.

I survived driving home somehow.  Yaaaay.

Is this a video game?

Guh I've had such a crazy last few days, my head is spinning. But in a good way.

Went on a SURPRISE!trip to Boston (and Cambridge, and Salem) today. Like most trips to Boston, it's left me completely overstimulated and tired and kinda giggly. Unlike other trips, it's also left me with two retrocomputers and a sh!tload of vintage software. =W=
