I finally got a pellet gun, it's a .177 caliber air pistol. My brother and I did target practice today, it was a lot of fun. Despite shooting being, like, my fourth choice of hobbies that I wanted to take up (krav maga, fencing and archery were ahead of it, respectively).

A soldier from my hometown was killed in Afghanistan last week, and his funeral was earlier today.  The kind people of the Westboro Baptist Church had announced their intent to do there thing at said funeral.  Let us say that action was probably not wise, because the word was out around the county and needless to say 99% of the populace was baseball bat to the face pissed.  They elected not to show up.  Probably a wise choice.

Spent most of my evening at the emergency room. I wasn't the sick one mind you... it was my dad. He's fine though and back home now... but damn, I was terrified for awhile.

OH MY GOD GUYZ WE HAD AN EARTHQUAKE TODAY!!!!! The house shook for a good 5 seconds, I mean... it SHOOK. I was sitting at the table and was all like, "wait, WTF?!" All of my neighbors confirm feeling it too, so it's not a bout of psychosis on my part.

My dad had a kidney stone. Not fun, but better then the other things they thought it might be...

Hm, my Scholastic Bowl coach suffered from kidney stones pretty bad.

So someone nearby is selling a 1978 TRS-80 with two drives, a printer, and all the manuals for $50.  Thinking about buying it.
