My my, aren't you lovely~

I am not sure it was mentioned earlier - as it technically happened a few months ago - but I noticed that one of our (Hungarian) anime magazines had an article about OS-tans, and they even mentioned the link of our forum, too. Guess it's getting more known around? ^^

Bella

@Exa: that is SO FRIGGIN COOL that OSC was mentioned in an anime magazine. :D

Quote from: "Chocofreak13"given the company i keep, i also have access to hideous amounts of money, lawyers, weapons/food stockpiles, bootleg movies/music/books, militia forces, rides, housing, possible black market items, and other such things. :3

i am not making this up. o_____o;

Soooo, you're a typical New Hampshirite is what you're saying d:

I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and I don't plan to. Honestly, I don't see the point-- just another way to waste time, money and possibly your health, it's never appealed to me. >.>

Well, anyway, this morning it rained IN BUCKETS. It was so loud that it woke me out of a sleep, and that was before the thunder and the dogs panicking and climbing into bed with me. They're scaredy cats about loud noises, the only way they feel  safe is to roost atop my head while I'm trying to sleep. (Luckily, I just washed them so they smelt really nice.)

The Boston travel plans are becoming more and more baroque! Now, my dad wants to spend a night in Boston so we can explore the city further or maybe he just wants to get the folks out of our tiny crappy house. Logically enough, I want to stay in the city, my grandparents want to go to that Air Force base in Lexington whose name I forget because, apparently, since my step-grandmother was married to an officer back in the day she's entitled to get lodging at any air force base on earth or something and IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME EITHER. I mean like... doesn't that violate some national security something? Although I wouldn't turn my step-grandmother away, she is a very... intimidating... person. She could probably show up at the White House and demand lodging and get it. xD

Oh yeah... and
the creator CTSS and co-creator of Multics would like to tell you about this new thing called "time sharing". You'll get to see CTSS in action! At least I think those are the CTSS machines, it's circa 1963 and that was the only timesharing system that ran on the 7094 computer at MIT...

Yep, it was an article in the January issue. They basically provided basic information about the OS-tans in general, introduced the well-known ones (3.1-tan, NT-tan, 95-tan, 98-tan, SE-tan, ME-tan, 2k-tan, XP-tan, the Vista variations and 7-tan) and a bit about Toshiaki-san as the "Master", too. In the end of the article, they gave the link to this site. In general, a good enough starter for people who want to find a basic knowledge about the OS-tan deal.

I live in England.  The best places to visit are probably London (obviously, lol!), Windsor Castle, and Portsmouth because we have a naval museum there (including the legendary HMS Victory).

Seeing as my parents are both in the navy, I'll bet hard cash that we're going to see that naval museum. But now I at least have the heads up as to why we'd go there XD

Mm, I like rain.  Sounds nice, especially thunder and lightening

Would that be Hanscom AFB, formerly Hanscom Field, home of MIT's Lincoln Laboratory?

I can't watch youtube videos at home.  So saaaaaaaaaaad :(

Stewart, I like rain to. But what I hate is when the clouds get very dark, the air gets humid, and you can just feel the rain coming...

and then you get a few drops of water and it moves on.

Bella

I like rain three. :B Yes, it is disappointing when it's overcast and humid and it doesn't rain. D:

Hanscom AFB, that's the one. I didn't know Lincoln Laboratory was housed there, cool! I just thought it was somewhere in the area.

That's right. Sorry. ;o;

The only naval museum I've been to is the submarine one in Groton, Conn. Got to tour the USS Nautilus, that was fun. ^^

Anyway, I think I have a jumpiness problem. Took my dogs for a walk today, ended up nearly having a heart attack when the neighbor started his lawnmower, when some pigeons spooked, when a kid on a bike came shooting out of behind some trees... like, I totally need to chill or something.

Also, this OCD is killing me. I'm in the process of revamping a digital painting I DIDN'T EVEN POST IN THE FIRST PLACE. I haven't done digital art in awhile, but I'm on a kick now. D:

@bella: *pat pat* calm down....it's ok!

Yep, Hanscom isn't really much of a flying base.  It pretty much exists to serve Linc Labs and Air Material Command's Electronic Systems Center.  s'why it's the center of Air Force OS-tans.... what ones there are of course.

Haven't seen that either.  But I have been on the Wisconsin and a Lightship.

Awww, it'll be okay.  Is this a recent thing or long time?

BUT REVISING UNPUBLISHED WORK IS THE BEST THING EVAR

@Choco: Hooray! College!

Chocofreak13

@stew: yay! debt and higher learning! ^^;

so guize, today i took the dreaded SAT. 5 hours of LONG AND BORING. there were some interesting articles, but i actually almost fell asleep during part of it. but i finished almost every section early, and it seems a little easy, so i think i did well. i don't want to predict anything, though, incase things don't turn out.

and guize, once i'm done my final (a comik!), i have two projects i'm gonna poast toast! (both sewing.) a cloche hat (like i wore in my youth.....*old person wheeze*) and a pillow like the one from that pic in the random pic thread: the heart-shaped yes/no pillow. ^^

LATE HAPPY INTERNATIONAL LOLITA DAY
My my, aren't you lovely~

NejinOniwa

Speaking of days, today is Sweden Day.

In exactly 13 years, it will be 5 centuries since the election of Gustav Vasa as King.

I wonder now, how this nation will celebrate the half-millennial jubilee of its founding patriarch...

In 56 years, it will be the one thousandth anniversary of the Norman Conquest.

Currently, my scanner is out of work, so I cannot scan it at the moment, I'll try it when I can solve these technical difficulties.
