@Kari: True that; I'm glad I did that for Lucina, although I did have a chance to get her during my trip (Passed, since I already had her...and that worked in favor of the lady behind me in line, whom was trying to get that one for her daughter -w-)

Thankful I'm off work now. So tired, and honestly found myself very irritable and finding myself thinking about shit that happened months ago, that shouldn't bother me anymore, yet it often still does. I often feel like a broken record for constantly complaining about it :\

we have chicks now! 28 baby chicks that are now in my room in a brooder and peeping!!~ if any of you guys have snapchat, add me, name is Sevaxa and they're on my story.

also, i'm honestly screaming because season 2 of Carmilla just came out and i'm dying they kissed in the first episode of the first season when we had to wait 36 episodes of painful lesbian tension for one kiss, then in this season not even a minute in they fucking snog eachothers faces and im dying
What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

ENJOY, COCKS, ENJOY

i'm gonna cool off applying to libraries for the time being. seems the people who recommended it to me either have Library Science degrees or are going for them, and all i've gotten from the positions i've applied to have been rejection letters. on the upside, you don't need any training whatsoever or background in it to be a pharmacy tech, i think the very most you'd need is a background check/piss test. i could EASILY hand old people their medication. and at the very least i'll keep the library thing in mind.

don't know if i mentioned it before but i'm giving a lecture on the 20th. been updating my presentation to fit a larger time window and keep it current, and i learned something rather shocking last night. i had written my papers and my previous lecture presentation under the assumption that the oldest surviving anime was from 1924, the rest having been destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. there had been discovered in someone's attic a scrap of animation that was undated; no one was comfortable slapping a label on it without further study at the time. well, looking it up, it seems they've gotten comfortable enough to declare it over 15 years older than the previous 1924 date (between 1907-1911)--and found 2 other early anime to boot.

this makes it even more shocking when you realize that this means the first anime came from the Meiji Era. :0

Yeah.  Being a librarian requires at least a BS in Library Science.  Circulation clerk they're usually looser on.  Then again, I worked in the library in high school and was the Night Clerk at the library in college.

It's still raining.  Rained all week.  Makes for a miserable work week.

Nichi

@Stew: It rained most of last month, here. Now it's dry again :\

Chocofreak13

@stew: no no, i wasn't going for librarian, i was going for library assistant. no degrees required. what frustrates me is their inability to even give me a chance.

Goujer (she/her)

Have you been trying the three calls a week trick where you call them to see how you're application is doing or where they are in the decision making progress?

i've called a few places a few times, but when i got hired before i only called once to confirm they got my application. the way i see it is that as long as they received it, that's the important part, and the interest is there. calling them further only seems like badgering to me. :\

EDIT: cocks, is this you? -w-;

@Leaf Agreed
@Choco My theory is badgering them shows that you are excited to work there. When I got a job at GameStop I just walked in about once a week and talked to them in person about the progress of the application, which led to an unexpected interview in which I was hired immediately.
I also tried this when I applied to a Coborns and they brought me in for a "test" of sorts which I know in my heart I failed.

it's psyching me out enough, i don't want to add insult to injury unless i have to. ><;
