EDIT: So, the Super Bowl Ultra Plate went pretty well. For me, the busiest part was at lunch; after that, things were fairly calm (Everyone else was running around like crazy, though)

so there's an excellent chance me and Steve are leaving the sunday game group.

yesterday i was in a bit of a bad mood, but was doing pretty good when i got to game. however, my asshole of a brother in law decided to take some comments (that WEREN'T aimed at him) and take them personally. i mentioned offhandedly that i was being "yelled at" for cooking, and he decided to follow up on that a good 5-10 minutes after it was said with how "big meals are disruptive" and whatnot, which i tried to counter ("it's not even that big..." "i'm not even cooking for everyone this time, just me and Steve...."), but he was having none of that. i mean, come the fuck on, i'm a minor character in a setting that has made me more and more useless as time has gone on. and excuse-fucking-me that we don't have any instant food outside of soup, which we had already had for breakfast that day.

later on, i was trying to be quiet about being tense and pissed off, so as not to disrupt game, and after Arty asked me a stupid question ("Hey, have you ever thought about becoming an Avon rep?), to which i shot her a look of "bitch what the fuck are you thinking??" and didn't say anything, she got a little miffed that i didn't answer her, and Alex just exploded. got in my face and was basically screaming at me that i was being a passive-aggressive bitch all evening and that i should either piss off or get the fuck out. i did my best to maintain a brave fact since, in effect, i was being confronted by my dad, and didn't really have any idea of what to say or could even get the chance to say anything, but after he had gone back to game i basically turned around and ate my own hand as Steve tried to be as comforting as possible (i chomped down as hard as i could on my hand and Steve stood by and rubbed my back as i tried to calm down). i still have the bite marks on my hand today and it actually turned black for awhile last night. i REALLY, REALLY wanted to leave right there, but with the amount of stuff i had there wasn't any way to do that quickly, and Steve sort of nudged me into staying for the rest of the session. afterward, though, we both agreed that it's high time to get the fuck out of this. i mean, the major reason i've been staying on is because this was basically my only in-person social interaction during the week, but if this is what it's going to be like, what the fuck am staying there for?

i'm still kind of reeling from it, but i just want it to be over. i don't want to go back there for a long, long time.

I'd leave if I were you. There's no real point in staying if you're going to be yelled at over every little thing, and your character is basically useless in the current situation :\

yeah. mine's been nerfed and reduced to a useless background cameo (though i hate using this term, i seem to be the group's Meg), and Steve's characters keep dying, so both of us are just done at this point. idk how we're going to break it to the group or what we're going to do with our time now, but it feels like the right thing to do.

more hangout time and possibly movies might not be bad. if we can get enough people together over the net, we might even be able to get a changeling game going.

I'd be up for a revived Changeling game. I usually get off off in the afternoons on Sunday :3

that could work. if you can guarantee being there at/around a certain time every sunday and we can get at least 2 more people, we might be able to do this. idk what some of the other D&D people are doing, i remember Steve mentioning that Nate was starting to get a little dissatisfied with the D&D game, and he's one of the main characters. idk how Arty feels on the issue, either.

i was gonna look into Steam tabletop clients later.

Yay for not having to do much in a computer class today.

Normally I do a lot of stuff, and am ahead of the rest of the class, but today there is a sub, and I seriously doubt I was left with anything to do.

So yeah. My longest period of the day is an off-period practically. Will spend in a semi-constructive (though in a more selfish constructiveness rather than classwork) way.

edit: And my next period is also an off period, as I did my work for the teacher I am the assistant of yesterday, and yesterday and today, there was/is a sub.

I nearly died slipping on ice repeatedly today.

First when I was on the interstate in my car, then walking into school.

I also found out that salt loses its deicing abilities at around 5˚F, and it was like -10˚F, which would explain why everyfuckingthing was slick and dangerous as hell.

Also apparently the state has used up like 70% of its winter road management budget....

so last night i was texting with Steve, and the conversation turned to us getting an apartment again. it's getting to the point where the two of us are starting to suffer negative effects from the lack of proximity, and i think both of us could benefit from being out of our houses (he so that his family will stop taking advantage of him, and me so i can rid myself of the yelling and stress). after he was done with his lunch break, i was feeling a touch guilty about not finding another job yet, so i started browsing for craft stores in the local area. when that basically came up empty, i decided to try the joann's site, despite having checked it just the other day and having nothing. lo and behold, there was a listing for one a bit further away, posted just yesterday. applied, done, totally feeling like a "responsible adult". #i'magrownup

(also, sorry if chatting about this grinds anyone's gears, but we have a tendency to chat about stuff like that without even thinking of anyone else anyway. isn't that right, my college-attending friends. >>; )
