Last day of the job tomorrow. But the next one already starts on Monday and has something to do with Mozart and spices :D

Sounds cool. Hope you like it ^_^

So, today was an interesting day. Not long after I woke up (As mentioned above, later than intended and with my right shoulder hurting from lying on it wrong), I find the water was turned off completely because mom thought she had more time to pay the bill than she did. So, because dad had to borrow her car to head to his new workplace to turn in some paperwork, I was stuck driving her to city hall to pay the bill and have our water turned back on.

With that mess out of the way, came difficulties with lunch. Mom had some work-related stuff to do even though this was her day off, while dad and I had already made plans to take my truck for the annual inspection (Since that's due by the end of the month). However, she insisted we take the same vehicle, because "we can't have lunch together if we drive separately"; which resulted in more delays. Although, by the time I got to the place my dad usually takes his vehicles for inspection, they were out of stickers; with their next shipment not due until later in the afternoon, so I guess the delay brought on by delicious cheeseburger was a moot point.

After lunch, I was relaxing around the house, when the mail came...but instead of the Yuki Nagato figurine I purchased waiting for me, it was instead a letter from the workforce; stating that my unemployment benefits have come to an end (Explaining why my most recent check was so small), and that I need to fax in more paperwork to see if I'm eligible to continue receiving money while I continue the futile effort that is finding a new job. Unfortunately, since I don't know how long it'll be until I get paid again, I might have to ask for mom to help me pay car insurance; which is guaranteed to lead to her lecturing me on how I'm a failure since I have yet to be called for an interview. Yay.

Much later into the afternoon, dad called up that place, and they confirmed they had their new set of stickers in, so we rushed out to finally get it inspected. But, it wouldn't be that easy, of course not; the Department of Transportation's server went down in the middle of the inspection, preventing the guys at the shop from legally finishing the job. So, I have to go back sometime tomorrow and hope it's working again.

So, yeah. I honestly feel I've accomplished nothing today. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better :\

So far, today hasn't been much better. I'd love to get out and do some job hunting, but I'm pretty much stuck here waiting on dad to get back so I can try again to get my truck inspected. It doesn't help that everybody seems to be busy as of late; so I have seemingly nobody to talk to right now aside from mom, who would just yell at me about not having a job

Sounds like you're better off voicing your concerns to your dad and just take the verbal abuse from your mom. You know, acknowledging she's speaking to you ("listening"), but not really taking it to heart.

But yeah, we talked about job stuff before. Why don't you make a list of things that you plan to do and check em off as you do them.

Better yet, put these on a calendar schedule. That way you have a concrete plan on how to move forward instead of a mess of ideas in your head. I find it easier to motivate myself for stuff if I have set goals/deadlines for things. And if you miss a deadline, don't sweat it too much. Reassess what you need to do, move the deadline however many days forward, and hopefully that small amount of guilt from missing the deadline will motivate you to definitely finish it by then.

And believe me, I HATE the idea of scheduling. I'm just not the kind of person that likes rigid schedules of anything--play, work, whatever. I've adapted this stuff to my personality and really just set aside... well, basically guidelines. And I'm much more productive because of it. I'm actually finding time for my other creative pursuits.

If I were you, I'd commit as many hours in a day as I could to job hunting. Ideally you'd work on job hunting like it's another job (8 hours a day), but adjust it higher or lower depending on how much energy you actually have to put into it. Realize that your mom (or something else) may demotivate you from job hunting and set aside a break period or two just for that inevitability.

Thanks, man. I have some places in mind that I want to try for a job, which I might get out again later to see about :3

I hope I can get back on my feet before too long

EDIT: Yay! I finally got the truck inspected without any issues! ^_^

Same. ^^

I..... don't really have much to talk about. Though I'm feeling better than I have in a couple of weeks, so that's something. I just wish my artistic inspiration for hand-drawing would return, it's like every time I sit down and try to sketch something I have to give up after a few minutes. -__-

I'm sure it'll come back eventually. I mean, it took me a while before I felt inspiration to continue writing :3

Chocofreak13

we're mailing out your thing tomorrow. does that make you feel better? :\

The mentioning of "thing" reminds me of
this Rush song

I love that song's word salad title: "Gangster of Boats Trilogy: Part 4: Where's My Thing?"

So I've got the files from that link Kari sent me.... now what?

If you ever get 3D Custom Girl working, you should totally attempt to make Bella in it, or better yet, one of her favorite -tans :3

Chocofreak13

good luck. hope you have a good processor. :\

(also, try messing around with it to get a feel for it. make your own ms. experiment and post the results. :3 )

I second that. I might torrent that sometime soon and share my results

If anybody is interested, I made some fairly basic 2k-tan wallpapers and uploaded them to the gallery (2 of which are based on a Nanami wallpaper I like, while the other one is in use as my login screen on my desktop; since I stumbled onto software that lets me change that screen)
