@bella: pirated aside, the stigma at my school goes that if you don't use what everyone else is using (ergo, macs and adobe), you suck. which i don't like.

And to think that I went to an elitist school...
Certainly, there were the snobs, but you could very well make your way going against the current, and still be friends with most of said snobs. They'll probably just tease you about it, or give you a weird look like they do the other strange people that exist here in southern california. haha

Paul

Started my holiday job 3 days ago and am quite tired since (first two days: eight hours kneeling with an angle grinder polishing paint off two long metal rails which are embedded in the floor. today and tomorrow: painting the outside staircase of the company. afterwards, hopefully working with them BIG MACHINES) The company makes automation technology, big industrial machines with robots in them :D It's quite a lot of work up to now but the people are friendly, the pay is nice and those machines are AWESOME (the robots alone cost 30K). Only drawback: getting up at 5:30 in order to be there at 7. Also, my arms and knees hurt a little.

I'm agreeing with Sleepy here... I've met Mac Snobs, and Linux Snobs, and even a few Windows and [Insert PC manufacturer here] Snobs, but they're never actually been hostile toward people who use competing products. :/

Personally I think anybody who judges a person based on their choice of computer/OS is an irredeemable d-bag with some seriously misplaced priorities, and should be avoided at all costs. =__=

Sounds cool, but pretty tough. I'm happy to hear that you're having fun at work, though. ^^

Paul

Yeah, my bones mainly hurt from not being used to so much manual work. Especially my left hand which has always been gripping the grinder. But painting is fun! (although the stairs are huge but I'm outside, nobody's bothering me and they said I could take all the time I wanted ^^ )

Nichi

@Kari: Sounds like what I dealt with at church eons ago; just replace "Apple" with "PlayStation" and "Adobe" with "Madden Football" :\

@Bella: Agreed. I hate the kind of people who judge based solely on what brand they support over another >_<;

@Paul: The job sounds nice ^_^

Dr. Kraus

As I head off to bed, i'm going to let my computer convert Hatsune Miku's 2011 concert in Sapporo into a FLAC file.

After that finishes, I'm going to chop up all the songs, tag them and then put them in one large folder.

The quality should be equal to whatever is being sold because its a really clear Blu-ray rip that I'm converting from, FLAC will just make it sound as good.

If anyone wants a copy of the final product just ask, I'll start seeding out a torrent.

This concert is WAY better than the first one, which I've been drumming to for the past 2-3 years now (I can drum the whole concert perfectly these days) with 8 strings, 1 sax and 1 trumpet. I'm doing this mainly for my own enjoyment, because drumming to these live concerts are just to much fun (its like i'm drumming at that concert, the adrenaline rush that I get is just amazing every time!) but I wouldn't mind sharing this out to everyone until a rip of the actual box set is injected into the internet (the CD box set is priced at $180, sorry but I'm not paying that much for it :P).

anyway, I'll update you all on it late afternoon (EST) about the progress tomorrow.

Night :D

Chocofreak13

if it gets to .mp3 format, i'll take a copy, please. -w-

So, on this day 10 years ago, I played Sonic 3 & Knuckles for the first time. It's been that long already? @_@

Unix-tan has escaped her usual domain, OS-tan Talk and Fanworks, and dropped by /Topicless to bring greetings of ill good will and hostility friendship.

"Is everyone having a satisfactory day?" she asks in the most cordial tone she can manage (which is to say, not very cordially at all).

Nichi

@Bella: So cute >w<

Well, apparently I'm not being considered for the school or Game-X-Change; the former no longer shows my application in the system (So likely they already hired somebody), while I talked with the manager of the latter only to find out they already hired somebody. So, I once again have to continue hunting for a job, when it feels like everything requires me to go to medical school or have management experience :\

Chocofreak13

crap!! those sounded like they'd have been perfect for you. :[
@bella: cuute. is there something i'm missing, or did you just want to drop some arts?

first day of school went alright. but i walked to the high school after i got back and almost overheated since it's so hot outside. also got stuck in a bramble patch along the way. god that sucked. ><;;
i hope i can do well in class this year ;^;

@Kari: No meaning, I just wanted to drop some art here. : p

It's good to know that the first day of school went well. ^^

@Pent: That sucks. :/ Keep looking though, I'm sure something is bound to turn up.

Chocofreak13

well, i'm forced to do better than my best in this class, and the class doesn't entirely seem like my cup of tea. but the teacher seems nice, and i have 2 friends in the class, so it'll be okay (hopefully).

once i cooled down at my grandparents' i developed a horrible headache with nausea, achiness and fatigue. i went home right away when my mum got home (we got food and brought it with us), and as soon as i got in i lied down, and i feel a bit better, but the headache persists. >>;

@Kari: Hope you feel better today :[

So, it looks like it's going to rain today. Yay! >w<
