I already tried haggling. I offered what I felt was a fair price, and the lady said very rudely "For that much I may as well donate it to the Girl Scouts" (Failing to realize we're talking about a desktop nearly as old as me; I'm like one of maybe 2 people in this town that'd want it).

maybe come in when someone else is working and try again, mentioning that they're not going to sell it to anyone outside of you unless they put it on ebay. :\

@raffaele: isn't all technology like that? when i got my ipod (nano 4th gen), the new one came out a couple months later. same goes when my sister got her [

nope. i was not buying a new smartphone.

I got samsung sii with my phone plan:

400 mins/month and 2 gb data for 25 euro excluding tax.

To obtain samsung siii I must had anticipated 69 euro.

Just one week after I subscribed my mobile phobe plan galaxy siii was offered with the same phone plan at no extra fee...

This was odd as the reseller of the mobile phone provider could had adviced me.

Usually reseller advice new customer to postpone the new voice phone contract to obtain more benefits with the new incoming phone plan offer

I usually don't complain about matters in the image gallery, but holy crap, what's up with the influx of double- and triple-uploaded images in the Mac gallery?

Does nobody check to see if they're duplicating images before uploading them?

Nichi

All of the galleries are like that; it's just more noticeable on the Mac gallery because so few pics exist >_>;;

This is why Pit's trying to find a solution to the whole "gallery moderator" issue

Bella

But, dude, you and K are uploading things that are already on the front page.

Chocofreak13

i beg your pardon, i search for images that i KNOW do not exist in our galleries (which usually contains images that most others are too squeamish to post). with that in mind, there are always going to be doubles, and while it's a problem, it's not one worth getting huffy about. the older pics could have been uploaded when the gallery for them didn't exist, and then someone else comes along, browses the newly created gallery, and uploads the pic because it's not there. i've done this for the -kun galleries on occasion because the pics in question were in the "other" gallery (or the gallery for the -tan of the operating system) and i didn't know how to contact the original uploader.

that said, if people would be more vocal about when they upload things, maybe these problems wouldn't happen. >:[

I recently found out Pentium uploaded a picture I found and it was a duplicate, since then, I search hard to see if there are any previous uploads of that picture.

I found none for the 2k and WinXP pictures I posted in their tans or group areas.

fix ittttttt

Chocofreak13

we shouldn't lump all of the blame onto one person. we've all uploaded a duplicate before, there's no shame in it. as i said, if people would announce when they go on uploading sprees (or even if they upload one or two), then people would be likely to check the gallery and would know which ones are there, thus reducing the problem. but how am i supposed to know what's there when people upload stuff and then are silent about it? >:\

So, to try and change the subject...

I just bought a Lego set on eBay that I always wanted as a kid, for about the same price it would have cost me at Toys 'R' Us ages ago. Huzzah!

The robin's nest that's on my porch is filled with tiny, newborn baby birds! ;u;

I hope dad didn't scare the mom away with all his construction / checking up on them. ;^;
