I got myself a new laptop.  Well, it's an old one but new to me.  Will post details when I get it which will be either saturday or monday.

I have two typewriters, both of which were acquired at the dump... one's an IBM Wheelwriter, which runs but seems to be slightly braindamaged (the margins are funky, and it changes them by itself) and a 1960s or 70s Smith Corona that also runs, but needs a new ribbon. Actually I have a third - a Royal from the 1920s or 30s that I found in a mechanic's garage - but it's badly rusted...

I've not yet decided, but just stumbled upon an IBM Correcting Selectric III for no money.
If I somehow can arrange the transport, I guess this one's gonna be mine

Selectrics are the best kind of typewriter, in my opinion.

I really want one of those, they have some amazing features and are absolutely built like a tank. From an aesthetic  standpoint, the Selectric I is probably my favourite....

@bella/stew/paul: i like my olivetti. it's a bit heavy, but it doesn't require any electricity, and it's portable to boot. :3
@nej: i've got an april fool's event on one of my other sites too. too bad i'm locked there....
