Well, I'm using a HP laptop with Athlom XP 3000 processor, 512MB ram and 100GB hdd, Dual boot with Slackware (Is there a Slack-tan?) and WinXP.

Cockleshell

I'm using an Edubuntu Linux computer, which I don't know the specs of because my dad built it from scratch. It runs pretty fast, and apparently it's got 7 drives mounted on it. Can't get my windows drive working on it, though... -shakes her fist at Homeko-

Also, I have a Macbook Pro that I use for art and music. Her scratch disk is almost full, I need to buy a few external drives.
What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

My disc is full too, ahaha. Need to burn some DVDs

For Linux? I'm using Sabayon Linux dual boot with xp-chan..... ;018

Sabayon can read/write NTFS partition as long as the partition is not compressed or encripted!

I mostly use linux for Multimedia, Office, Net, File manager and so on cause i like the linux 3D Desktop. I only use xp-chan for gaming.... linux lack of good game....

If you don't know about 3D Desktop that i'm talking about, see this video:

Many people said that Sabayon is Vista-killer..... ^_^

Dr. Mario

True. True.

No wonder so much people had high hopes for Windows Vista, only to find themselve pissed off by this OS.

Indeed, I'm disappointed by the fact that it's, in reality, not future-ready like MS claimed. What about the PC XDR memory module? I have tested MS' claim, only that they're wrong - I have done this so-called compability test on the 64-bit x86 multicore CPU - Vista ran fine on DDR-3 then I swapped for 4.0GHz XDR memory - Vista simply crashed. No driver for XIO controller.. =S

Added after 12 minutes:

Also, for you guys who are eagerly waiting for Rambus XDR-DRAM to be used as main memory for the future x86 CPUs, please avoid Windows Vista - use Linux, older Windows, or - hopefully - Windows 7.

I haven't tried Windows 7 on one of my PC (the one that have 4.0 GHz XDR memory - this system's much new. Vista failed, so I shall see about 7.)

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0.9999!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is M$ such an a-hole that they won't release the kodes to DX api's so they can be incorporated in Linux?! Why do we still have to do thw Wine workaround, wich is lazyman-unfriendly!...

My lawd, i hope windows goes bust someday soon...

Added after 1 minutes:

Oh and BTW, 100GB full is something i achieved loong ago, i am surprised you can even manage with such a small disk, cuz as i posted somewhere, probably in another thread i have now some 1450GB stuffed...^_^

There is one thing that MS underestimated, DX is never closed-sourced.

Why? It's clearly right in video processor programming manual. You can download it - however, if MS sue you, they would be in deep sh*t already. If you got sued over Radeon, they effectively lose AMD.

(Come to think of it, we have anti-trust laws.)

Come MS, come to open-source world!

Do you guys think I'd be insane to try this?

When I get my new comp, I wanna multi-boot with different OSes.  I'm thinking of a 2GB ME partition, an 8GB AROS partition and the rest for XP.

I want ME to experiment with as it's the only Windows OS I've never used.  So, am I insane?

Well, if it's for the lulz, no you're not mad...
If it's for serious work, you spanner, get a proper OS...

Basically that's it, but i can relate, though. I was tempted to multi-boot my PC when i upgraded from 98 to 2000, because i missed the BSODs... I ended up with an easier solution, a BSOD screensaver wich even emulates the splash screen of the windows you are currently using... But that was in the time i also moded my splash screens and desktop, so...
