QuoteFufu... fortunately you'll have plenty of time to figure the whole wifi thing out. I know it's possible, just not necessarily intuitive depending on your Wifi card. ^^'

But indeed, that's progress. Certainly once they catch the Beryl Bug, the infectious interest won't subside, but will spread and spread until the day comes that they beg to........... play with the cube.... Fufu.... ^v^

Gah! That sounds like my bro upon seeing Skydome...

"Lemme try spinning it!"

Me: "Don't you want to hear about this OS's 31-year Unix heritage...?"

As for the wifi, it give exact directions to finding the correct drivers. I just can't quite figure out how to get it to install or whatever...

Sometime I may have to use either a Hughes (satellite internet) dish or cell phone company provided wireless broadband...I wonder if they have any drivers to configure those (but that a whole other topic...)

QuoteOkay okay, forget Apple and M$ then...

How about we just open source Amiga and OS/2 then? I'll settle for that any day... ^___^

I WANT MY MIGGY!! I WANT MY MIGGY!! I WANT MY MIGGY!!
I'M LOVE-STARVED AND I DEMAND MY MIGGY!!!! ^o^

I want open source OS/2!

(cause she'd be as good as open source Windows XD)

Fufu... well,... whatever it takes, I always say. ^__^
Certainly a good way to dampen Vista curiosity once they figure out there is no cube in Vista (there is sort of one in OSX, but it doesn't show up often).

Next time I see you, give me the instructions.  Hopefully by then I can figure it out for you.  ^__^

As for the satellite/cellphone internet access, those I'm not too worried with. Satellite internet operates like any ol' connection, and all your computer has to do is worry about receiving the signal from the corresponding modem or router.

The phone is a similar story, in that it really appears as a modem to the computer.  Naturally, though, some issues may arise if the device in question is a bit onthe Windows-centric side.  ^^;

On the other hand, my RAZR V3 can't charge in my Windows machine without looking high and low for a driver, yet charges like a charm in Linux for some reason.  ^.^

Now you're cookin' with FIYA!!  ^V^

Wha? The mysterious cube of OS X?

I thought they only had expose...

That's good :)

WAAAH!!!  Bella-san is gone!   ;^0^;

However,....

I too am curious about OSX cube, as I've only seen it during installation and while using Parallels.  Hopefully a long-running Mac user.... ^___^

*stares at Tsubashi-dono*

*glances at Aurora-sama*

...can shed some light on this.  -v-

Tsubashi

Anno...
To tell the truth, I'm not entirely certain what you are talking about ^^'
I know that I use a separate app which is sorta a mix between Beryl and Leopard's Spaces, but that's hardly standard. There is the fast user switching effect, if that's what you are thinking of...

Though, looking at what apple has patented somewhat recently, it would appear that they intend to allow for multiple dashboard areas, allowing for tabbed manipulation or geometrical (aka, cubes)
Dashboard on a cube? Interesting indeed. ^.^

C-Chan

Sou sou,... it's something like that user switching thingie....

I know that when I'm switching to full-screen mode in Parallels, it pulls the cube on me in order to transition to the other OS.  ^___^

I take it all that other stuff you mentioned is for Leopard-chan.  ^v^

Any mention at all of perhaps,... say,.... tablet functionality?  ^.^'

Tsubashi

Ah, yes. All for leopard-chan ^-^

QuoteAny mention at all of perhaps,... say,.... tablet functionality? ^.^'
Well, Apple has a a patent for a tablet Mac since May 10th, 2005. (US Design Patent No. D504,899, specifically) but obviously hasn't done much with it. Till they do, there is always Modbooks, I guess ^^'

*pouts*  Meeeeeeeeeeeehhhhh..... it's just not the same..... -____________-

*enthusiasm deflates*

Mo... .I'll never get my Tablet Mac at this rate....  -.-
Might as well just get an OpenMoko, although it sounds like something unhygienic in spanish....  -____________-

What do you use in the meantime, Tux #2?  ^__^

Icelilly

Okay... I'm back with more problems for you guys. Hope nobody minds. ^^;

My scanner has been wacked out for the last year and I can't figure out why. I click on the program that gets the scanner working and it gives me a message saying it can't start it. I was hoping to keeling re-installing the program a last resort. Any ideas before doing so would help. ^^

C-Chan

Would that be on Hacchan or MEchan?  ^^;

BTW, everything in Windows claims to resolve itself with reinstallation (especially if it's just TWAIN scanner drivers and such....), so don't see why that would be a problem.... ^.^

(I'd be more worried about it NOT working.... ^___^;)

Icelilly

Sorry, I don't have a ME. But sometimes, it feels like I do. XD

I see. I just wanted to make sure. I always keep re-installing as a last resort just to see if there are any other options to choose from. I'll get my mom to re-install it for me since I have no clue where the hell she put the install CD. ^^;

BTW, is 98SE Hacchan or Secchan? I tend to get the two confused. ^^;

C-Chan

Sorry, meant to write "MCE".  ^^;

And I guess it'd be more obvious if I called the bottle opener wielder "98SEcchan" rather than "Secchan".  ^.~

Tsubashi

Rather certain 98SE is Secchan (SEcchan, maybe) but I'm not sure. I get them confused too ^^'

Anyways, I'll assume you have tried restarting the application, tested an alternate program, and rebooted, correct?

Added after 26 seconds:

Oh, nevermind. Senpai beat me to it.
