you better be doing some serious gaming, designing, or video watching with that setup. ><;

You know it.

GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB (most powerful single-chip graphics card in the world) and 4GB of OCZ DDR3 1333MHz, which I really need to replace as I've had 3 sticks fail on me already and I've only had it since christmas!

@Red: Go with some Kingston HyperX RAM. That's what I'm using in my desktop, and have had no issues at all...then again, Kingston is just a good brand overall (Even their ValueRAM brand is good)

Alex_Reetz

i have a 512mb 4850 i got for 50.00 on ebay..

love that card.

I now be reporting live from my new Dell AT102W keyboard.  It clicks, it clacks and the keys make this nice impact feeling on the base of the keyboard which feels oddly satisfying.

But, I still have adware on my PC which is fucking annoying as I've run several different virus scans on it and they have all failed to remove it.

Aye, Kingston makes some nice stuff. Have good memories of flash drives of theres.
As for my graphics card, it may not be the fastest in the world, but it's the fastest integrated card in the world, making it so nothing beats its balance in power conservation and performance. It uses less than 1 volt of power, yet can outperform a 9,600M GT discrete desktop card. Besides, it plays sto @ 60 fps @ 1900x1200, even while in Wine, that's all she needs to do.

Nichi

The graphics card I have in 2k-tan the Desktop is an AMD Radeon HD 6850, which replaced the HD 4350 I originally had in her predecessor, the TARDIS. Combined with the Core i7 and 8GB of RAM I had in there, I was running Portal 2 with no slowdown at all, when people on GameFAQs where complaining about the game running slowly or crashing a lot.

Feels good, man

Here's some loooooong overdue pics, people!

This is the *new* Dell AT102W clicky keyboard I got today.  1998 vintage, black models were extremely rare according to my research.  Snapped it up for a bargain £10 including postage when grubby well-used white ones were going for £40+ with other sellers.  Completely new, fresh out of the box, never used.  Keys feel really tactile and have a satisfying feeling when they impact the board underneath.

EDIT: However, my mum says the clacking annoys her and she's tempted to throw something at me.  So I dunno how long this will last...

This is ChachaGo, a Dell Inspiron 8100 bought to replace my old legacy rig and because she has the world's first laptop GPU (the nVidia GeForce2 Go).
Specs:
1GHz Intel Pentium III Mobile
512MB PC133 SDRAM
32MB nVidia GeForce2 Go (running Omega Drivers)
40GB Hitachi Travelstar HDD
DVD/CD-RW combo drive
Floppy drive
Dual boot Windows ME & Windows XP Performance Edition

The custom bootscreen I have installed.

Her namesake on the desktop and a custom nVidia system theme courtesy of Stardock Windows Blinds.  She has a surprisingly high 1600x1200 resolution.

My recently purchased IBM P275 22-inch CRT monitor with a humungous resolution of 2048x1536.  Bought for £15 off eBay when I was considering a similar model in much poorer condition for around £60.

My new legacy rig, Dell-chan (I suck at naming, okay?).  Model is a Dimension 4550.
Specs:
3.06GHz HyperThreaded Intel Pentium 4
2GB DDR 333 RAM
128MB nVidia GeForce FX5200 (it sucks, but it's the best AGP card I have)
80GB Hitachi Deskstar 180GXP HDD
Windows XP Home Edition

And here is the lovely, shiny new MISAKA, who is an Alienware M11x netbook.  Desktop performance in an 11-inch package.
Specs:
1.3GHz Intel Core2 Duo (Overclocked to 1.7GHz)
4GB DDR3 1333MHz
1GB nVidia GeForce GT 335M/Intel GMA 4500MHD Hybrid Graphics System (switchable via a hotkey)
500GB Western Digital Scorpio Black HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Here is her namesake on the desktop, voiced by the lovely Teto Kasane.  She plays games amazingly well for her size (Crysis on high, baby!) and has amazing battery life: 4 hours in gaming mode and over 8 hours in eco mode.  Perfect for gaming on the go!

I want the casual romance club cd you got their.

Nichi

@Red: Dell-chan looks like a bigger and meaner version of my previous main desktop, the TARDIS, but with similar specs (It had a 2.8Ghz Pentium 4 HT, but also had a PCI Express port for it's graphics card).

Which, I may as well share some pics of my fleet while I'm here:
- 2k-tan the Desktop (The first custom PC I build using all-new parts, as the successor to the TARDIS. Also, she does run Windows 2000 in an emulator, which I call "2k-on-2k Mode")

- The Yeti (The legacy desktop; which I grew up playing old DOS games on. I upgraded it's old 75Mhz Pentium to a 200Mhz one; just for more power)

- Frankenstein Classic (AKA Frankenstine V1) (My original custom PC; built using assorted spare parts my great uncle gave me as well as stuff from Crappy after it was retired)

- Frankenstine V3 (The current incarnation of Frankenstein; being built around an older Dell and a majority of the components from V2)

- Minefield (The 486SX I do experiments with; usually of the "will it run?" sort)

- Asagi (My main laptop; which I just maxed out the RAM on. She's awesome)

- Laptop the Laptop (The creatively-named laptop that, although held together with duct tape, having a row of dead pixels on its screen, and having a broken left mouse button, still works well; outliving my sister's much newer Dell laptop that was physically in better shape)

- Mikuru (The Pocket PC; who really needs a new battery...)
