But the lyrics in this one are so much better.

Well, i can't comment on that, seeing that i know hardly any japanese... (the anime i'm watching now doesn't really help either, i just feel my individual braincells die while i'm watching... :D)

Well, dunno. The lyrics in this song are really pretty basic, but I've been studying japanese off and on for the last 13 years.  I've been known to pick up languages a bit easily. (But when it came time to hit kanji,  I fell by the wayside unfortunately) .

Well, i always want to put the things i learn to work, (believe me, with most stuff, that would be a bad idea :D) but that's kinda hard when no-one around speaks any japanese...

Ha! The fact that you lack practice is really a letdown, because when you need it it's hard as hell. Last week at work we were overwhelmed by a bus of japanese people, and in desperation the boss asked me to go out and talk to them. It was pretty embarrassing... ~_~
