OSTan comic page(s)

[Fedora-Tan]

I plan to make a special section where a comic will be displayed, i want to know since now if you have special needs or suggestions about it. In first time, it won't be too complex since i've to make it and don't really have the time for that :p

The actual gallery, while fitting as a gallery is not suitable for a such project, therefore this section.

I plan to make the layout in same idea as the forum, just replacing the actual forums with the comic display (that means, leaving menus on the bar and replacing body of the page)

The idea is to make a simple thing : picture displayed (full size), with a "previous strip" button, a "next strip" one, "first", "last", and eventually a field or a way to chose any strip uploaded so far. I thought of an index next to the strip display.

There will also be of course a way for uploaders to ... upload.

If you have any comments (it's ok, it sucks, you suck, etc...) please feel free to comment there.

I also think a display (mini) of current strip (the latest one then) or a random one, or both, could have a nice display at the top of the forum to bring ppl into that section. Same idea with a random gallery picture maybe , but that's another story ...

I think of CaptBrenden as uploader, but if there are others (or if Capt. doesn't want this), please tell me.

Actually, I think the Great Fedora-Dono is saying that he'll make this new feature easy enough so that all you would need to do is upload your comic pages.  In that respect, I think this should be of great interest to you.

Or at least you'll be able to help free-up some of Fedora-dono's responsibilities.  Like me, I get the impression he's taking on more than his health will allow.  ^^;

I have my own webspace now, but so as to maintain consistency I wouldn't mind borrowing a section of your new comic-friendly format for the Mac Manga.  ^___^

I like this idea.

A display with random strips would work well with the 4koma's and other one-shot things.

For Digital Complex, I say assign the Captain as an uploader (maybe another as a backup), and allow others to post their own random stuffs in another section.

Oh, right, I'd think Aurora's zerOSanity would be better here instead of using devART to navigate through pages.  dA's not really designed for comic strips...

I second the move to create a comic page for ZeroSanity.  ^__^
I think she deserves equal exposure here, as she hasn't posted any of her images to the Gallery yet.  -v-

So that makes Digital Complex, the Mac Manga and Zerosanity as immediate comics for upload.

Hopefully this is enough content to make the effort worthwhile, Fedora-dono.  ^v^

Thirded! As navigating through Deviantart when reading ZS or trying to go through the translation thread to dig for translated Mac Manga pages can be quite the pain in the backside. BTW, how's Digital Complex doing?

We should show an old OS-Tan strip on days on which Aurora doesn't have a ZerOSanity comic! It would kind be like a webcomic! At last, my greatest plan of the last five minutes is coming true!

It goes.  Ive got some pages drafted out.  It will most likely be a once a month release of 16 page issues rather then being released page by page.

Tho i think Im gonna do 4komas in my spare time, tho, we should draft up more ideas for them in the 4koma thread...

Not as i know of, at least, and i've traversed many unknown parts of the net searching for that sort of stuff. I wonder why, sorta odd isn't it? All i can think of in lait speculation as is would be that the OS-Tan fanartists aren't really the type of guys to draw heavy-action war comics...
