Here's a little souvenir from the other forum I've been frequenting lately, featuring our EeePCLinuxOS Beta 2-1 in action.  ^___^

Has ability to use Compiz Fusion, but I don't have it enabled in this particular screenshot.

(Note:  some of the custom artwork on there is mine,.... I just won't say which... ^.^)

Ooooooh....I always assumed an EeePC wouldn't have enough system resources to run any kind of window manager like that...

That screen brightness thingy on the left stands out for me...

For some mysterious reason, PCLinuxOS runs far faster and snappier than in the AsusOS.  So 3D graphics that usually choke along in the custom Xandros build run okay in PCLOS.  Compiz Fusion is particularly smooth, and its zoom in function is extremely helpful in such a tiny screen.  ^^

As far as storage, you're already cutting it at 4GB, and neither modern Linux nor Windows could possibly fit anything useful inside a 2GB footprint (the 2G models).  But since we're using a compressed file system for EeePCLOS, we can cram an entire production suite similar to the one in the AsusOS inside a 600MB footprint.  And that includes Open Office, mind you.  `v'

If EeePCLOS can be made to work flawlessly on a 2G model, then we can actually help make the $300USD model commercially viable!  ^.^

Yepper, it's supposed to.  You only see the OSD image for about 2 seconds before they phase out.  It's a lot cooler seeing it in action.  ^.^

Hmmmm~
That's Tomoyo there, isn't it, sempai?

It's always been my dream to see Tomoyo-chan again, and now I can thanks to Tsubasa Chronicles.  ^^

Question:  did you make this unattended edition of Windows XP yourself using something like nLite, and with a legally-purchased license of Windows XP [whatever] edition that, AND to replace a preexisting installation on a single computer?

Or did you grab it from somewhere?

Any unofficial revision and redistribution of Windows XP is bound to tread on murky legal waters of some sort, so I'd be careful.

Consider rereading the standard EULA:

Awww... should've posted screencaps of MSDOS too, since she's joined us in the forum.  Welcome back, btw.

Dr. Mario

Nothing official, C-chan... Although, I think I still do have MS-DOS 7.1 distro on my DVD-RW disc. (mostly zipped...) And, da*n, I'm still thinking of GreenOmega-tan (like what to draw...) I'm still havin' trouble trying to make the perfect programs (but would want to start out GreenOmega 64 GUI first, then perhaps skin Windows 2000 with it.)

After all, I'm happy to be back here.
